So theres not really any social aspect its just gifting? No real conversations or anything. Thats a bummer.
There are conversations and cutscenes that will happen as you develop friendships.

Oh man I'm so glad it's not just me. This has been driving me nuts. It only happens after I've been playing for a while. So far closing the game and relaunching it is the only fix I've found :-/Haven't read anything on it in a bit but the crackling audio issue is popping up more often for me. closing the game after saving and restarting the only solution thus far?

Sure can (although I believe regular tree growth rates are random)Can you plant seedlings and fruit trees in Winter to prepare for harvest the next season/month?
So I'm just starting to get into this game (finally). I'm going in fairly blind, though I've played a lot of HM games. Is there anything I really should do during my first Spring that maybe isn't too obvious but I'd regret not doing?
Will do. Thanks. When you access the community center for the first time look at what you need to do to get access to the green house and work on those crops in spring.
Yeah, I was you a week ago. A crash at the end of a pretty good loot day. Disgusted, I decided to stop playing until a patch come out.Just had my first crash. Winter 10. Broke me out of whatever hypnosis this game had me under. Will take a little break and check out Wulver Blade and finish Golf Story.
Gonna miss those dwarf scrolls I found :/

Pretty much this. When Im not playing it Im not thinking about it. I can go five days in a row and not play it, but once I start playing it again Im hooked for hours and its real hard to get away.Yes this. This game has the ability to make you want to play it constantly, but the moment you stop, you just feel like...what the hell was I doing? Was that even fun?
Can confirm i have this problem too. Its intermittent which is odd but yeah shutting the game and opening it fixes it for me too.Oh man I'm so glad it's not just me. This has been driving me nuts. So I am feeling overwhelmed with what to do. I am on day 20 of spring. I don't know If I should focus on fishing, mining, cropping, building a cellar, raising animals.
Too much stuff I could do, not enough time or money.,
I just built a furnace, and made my first copper bar, but have no idea what for LOl
Also, what is the slime and the stuff you get from monsters for?

Don't try to do it all. Focus on what you want and once you're good at that and have a quick routine for it, then try other things. Mining to upgrade tools to Copper is a good early move, makes farming a lot quicker. Steel tools isn't really much of an improvement, Gold is the next useful level but that's a long way off from Copper so just do that first and then work on other things.
Don't plant too many crops early on or you'll spend half the day and all your energy watering them.
You can wait on most social stuff until year 2 or 3, after you're well established.
Slime you can sell for gold, but eventually it's used to make something much later in the game. There is no shortage of slime.
I have no idea what I'm doing...
Planted some seeds and sold the parsnips. Planted some more so I guess I'll make money doing that. Have been clearing grass/wood/rocks in the farm but can't get rid of stumps logs or trees and don't know how to upgrade my tools. Built a little fence and path.
Some guy gave me a fishing rod but I can't get the hang of using it. There is a broken bridge but need 300 wood. Apparently I need to give people gifts but have no idea what interests them. When I talk to people they don't say much.
I love the idea of building my own farm but feel really overwhelmed.
I feel the same way , day 8 , my farm is tiny and I spent most my days clearing land or talking to townfolk, I actually like it doesnt hold your hand , I guess the point is you can do whatever you feel like doing that day .

Pro tip for latest page:
Crash bug seems to have 2 triggers, either turning in a tool for Clint to upgrade or having empty spaces between items in your refrigerator inventory. If you get a crash, those are the things to try. Sort the refrigerator inventory and/or don't upgrade a tool.
The adventurer guild is where you sell old equipment right?
Can I put flooring/stone paths around my fruit trees, or does that not count as leaving a space?
I blieve so. Im just headed there to offload the old fishing rod.
My house, Winter Year 2. About to have a kid.
I need to vent. Have already put 25+ hours into Stardew and have been keeping it in sleep mode when not playing. I have this Elite Player backpack that carries my dock, cables, and 3 pro controllers. Never know where Ill be located for the job, plus might visit friends or family between shifts.
Nintendo, why do you make your pro controller trollers socsensitive?! I had my back pack in my lap while using the Switch in table top mode looking through my friends list. Decided to set it down and all of my pro controllers turned on and moved the cursor through the menus while clicking buttons.
Note: I did not throw or manhandle the backpack. I lifted it up from my lap and leaned it down.
I look up and somehow the controller clicked on my friends Mario Kart hours and said yada yada Start game?. I was like Oh no! but the controller still clicked A on itself. Next popped up Do you really want to close your game? I was determined to not close it so tried my best to gently let go of the backpack and let it rest on the chair. What happens? It clicks A again and closes my game anyways.
Why do Joycons take a double home press to start but pro controllers are so sensitive?

After they're fully grown. Nothing around them while growing.
It's what I did here:
Actually I've put flooring around tree seeds and they grew up fine.
How do I find out who likes what? They don't mention what they like when you talk to them.
Anyways Alex is my secret Santa, what does he like or how can I find out?
