Steam Achievement leaks (Pinball FX2, Mortal Kombat, Deadpool, KOF XIII, etc)

and still no steam/PC leak of Dragons Dogma :-(

Someone has to port it, Qloc probably, and they are on Resident Evil Revelations, and Capcom Arcade Cabinet.

I could see them porting it this Fall, where they would have nothing to port anymore because of next gen warm up.

I made a page to display all unknown apps with schemas on SteamDB: http://steamdb.info/unknownschemas.php
This list is sorted by last update, but you can click on header to sort in any other way you want.

And on each app page, it will display schema.

FFVII, huh? What does the chances look like of that achievement version coming to XBLA/PSN? What about Windows 8 "Xbox enabled"?

Probably not very high since it must have been easy to port a non-Steam PC game to Steam, rather than consoles.

I wonder if there is a new America's Army in development: http://steamdb.info/app/203290/#section_history

The achievements are the same from AA3, but it has a different APP ID. It could be a test version. But they've made a new AA with each new major iteration of Unreal Engine since the first one and UE4 is available to developers now.

The American Army was looking for a new contractor (one of them being Bohemia) to create a new game for them. Maybe is related.

I think that is the military simulator that Bohemia, Crytek, and other companies make to train soldiers. AA was more for promotion of the Army for today's youth and wasn't really close to being a simulator.

Generally I'd say near the end. Not sure how indicative that is for Prey, that's kind of a special case given that it seems to have been in development hell for a while.

I would imagine pretty late. I would imagine creating achievements and hooking them up to the various APIs (and obviously submitting said achievements to the servers) would be one of the last things you do during beta.

Thanks guys. Let's hope then it means that Prey 2 is definitely happening.

I just tried re-scanning achievements again, and it no longer gives you schema information for unreleased games. So, no more achievement leaks for previously unknown games.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Did it ever?

Some of us believed. And believe still.

I did a bit of research and America's Army 4.0 is in development currently and there are supposedly screenshots of it. It's not on UE4 though, since the requirements are the same as AA3. I'll post screenshots as I find them.

I really hope this turns out better than AA 3.0 launch did.

Steam's been like a broken dam lately. Don't ever remember there being this many unannounced games leaked through database entries before. You'd think Valve would've picked up on this by now.

Oh woah. How did I miss this? So MK on Steam is pretty much happening? Awesome!

Really really really really really hope they include those extra skins. If not, I guess people will be able to mod them in... as well as be able to mod in playable bosses.

It might also be the case that a lot of these games that are getting leaked are by studios that don't traditionally port games to Steam, therefore they don't realize what information they should and shouldn't register with Steam yet. Ultimately Valve could just block people viewing data about games not on the storefront (which it seems like they may have done now), but if the people doing these ports knew about these vulnerabilities, they'd be able to avoid the leaks.

The problem is, Valve already disallows seeing any data for freshly created apps, but using various sources (different APIs) you can get small bits of information, and using that information figure out what game that is. This happened with steam hubs leak, this happened with recent achievements leak. Another problem is, valve doesn't really care untill it's exploited.
Marlamin covered this in yesterday's blog post on SteamDB.
However, to this day we have not received a single response from Valve, and they only seem to patch our methods after we use them to make information public.

An example here is the Game Hub debacle from a while back. Or more recently: Game schemas of which we told Valve about on March 7th, implemented March 19th, and Valve fixed it on March 20th.

Mortal Kombat has once again been updated
Final Fantasy VII as well

I saw that there were achievements for Dyad now and that Sacred Citadel has been added.

Exciting stuff :)

I saw the Dyad trophies (sic) when this thread was out, basically the same as PS3 ones. This game is suppose to be out this month....hmm...

Really ? My bad.
I do wonder if it's coming out this month though... I expect it to be released somewhere next month, realistically speaking.

oh man, I can't wait for Killing Floor 2. I had to force myself not to reinstall the first one after the last update because everytime I do I end up playing it for another 30 or so hours.

ionicle from TRMK had a conversation on IRC with xPaw and Devin, some of the guys behind SteamDB.

"[20:02] <ionicle_> what would you guys say is a probable chance of a game to make it to live or at least an announcement, once it's been entered into the steam database, and it's had pretty regular updates and achievements added?
[20:02] <@johndrinkwater> a maybe
[20:03] <ionicle_> yeah its always a "maybe", though im trying to narrow it down a bit to a rough percentage of probability
[20:04] <@johndrinkwater> what game?
[20:04] <ionicle_> latest Mortal Kombat, it appeared on Amazon UK briefly, before being taken down
[20:04] <ionicle_> then the game schema popped up, with a lot of achievements added
[20:05] <+DevinWatson> Mortal Kombat = 99% Happening
[20:05] <@johndrinkwater> sounds like a fairly high chance then
[20:05] <ionicle_> indeed, thats what im hoping for
[20:05] <+DevinWatson> They've spent a lot of time integrating it into Steam
[20:05] <+DevinWatson> tim = money
[20:05] <+DevinWatson> time*
[20:06] <+DevinWatson> so they're obviously planning on releasing it
[20:06] <+DevinWatson> now if you're wondering about Halo
[20:06] <+DevinWatson> I'd say that's not happening
[20:06] <ionicle_> oh no, I already read about Halo
[20:06] <ionicle_> MS refuted the claims of that happening
[20:06] <+DevinWatson> They say a lot of things some true some not so true
[20:07] <ionicle_> been waiting for MK to happen for ages, and i had already given up hope completely
[20:07] <+DevinWatson> yeah whatever the release date was on amazon it's probably right
[20:08] <ionicle_> good to know Boon was just being a massive troll with his constant teasing for the PC fans of the game
[20:08] <+DevinWatson> Steam achievements are fairly late game in the development process for a port
[20:08] <ionicle_> yeah, even better, that would indicate that the game is approaching completion at least
[20:09] <+DevinWatson> unfortunately Valve patched the achievements api backend so no more leaks on that front
[20:09] <+DevinWatson> at least for now
[20:09] <ionicle_> yeah, xPaw told me about it
[20:10] <ionicle_> a person commenting on the topic of leaked steam achievements posted the following, regarding MK:
[20:10] <ionicle_> "I made an enquiry to Amazon regarding the legitimity of the Mortal Kombat item while its page was still available. After a while they checked with their "specialist team" and responded that, quoting, "...release is correct. The pre-order option will be made available at a later date." so, this tells that the page has been taken down temporarily until an official announcement which is great news in my opinion "
[20:10] <ionicle_> if thats true, yet another pointer in the direction of it happening after all"

Forgive me since I know next to nothing about Steam, but does KOF XIII's acheivements look less authentic than most of the others? Hopefully I'm just off-base or that's a temporary look.
