I would get the game on Play-Asia however the region pops up "Europe" for the Steam code. I don't want to be stuck with a game that's region locked.

Valve has shown pretty low tolerance for the few anti-gay games that tried to make it through Greenlight. I suppose it depends on whether it's at least some genuine attempt at satire or just the ravings of alt-right manbabies. I suspect the later.

At this point I feel like I won't believe any Nier Automata date until a Steam page is up and the game is actually released.

It's seemed fairly clear for a while now that Square Enix don't want to advertise the PC version for some reason. A deal with Sony is the only explanation that makes sense if the port is not the problem.

They never want, their store doesn't have or had most of PC releases on upcoming games page for example, which is kinda funny
They also subscribe to stealth releases with as low profile announcements as possible if at all.

Or maybe... like someone else mentioned in other thread. That trailer was finished some time ago and SE decided to delay PC version because of DRM after that trailer was done.
But why wouldn't they edit it before publishing it? Or post other version with PS4 date only?... so confusing. I am getting tired.

I'm not even sure it's a paycheck, it just could be some unwritten gentlemanly agreement they have seeing as all PC releases of SE Japan games were delivered silently or even stealthily, I doubt Sony pays for every one.

I actually think they dont know any better. It happens with every S-E release lately.
DQH - leaked 2 weeks before PC release with a steam news banner.
FFX-X2 - 3 days before release the Steampage went up.
FF9 - everyone talked about the port, then a few days before release the steampage went up.

Mystery Chronicle, all of the Shiren the Wanderer games, and all of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games.
EDIT: Also Etrian Mystery Dungeon, and probably many other Mystery Dungeon titles I'm forgetting.
Don't forget they basically stealth released FF IV or V on steam as well few years ago. I think someone here on gaf was just barely able to catch via some rating site 24hrs before release.

Yeah. I dont get it. To add to that, remember the whole FF13 trilogy that was supposed to come out before the end of 2014/spring 2015. LR then came out at the end of 2015, without any big announcement. Everyone was wondering where it was, S-E didnt say anything.
