Well, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I find the usage of "Battle.net" interesting, though. Is the service going to be un-rebranded? That would be amusing.

Battle.net might just be referring to the server infrastructure, which you access through the Blizzard App.

I don't have any credit right now, but if I did I'd check if they renamed other stuff too. I could have sworn it's gone from Battle.net Balance to Blizzard Balance though.

Bundle Stars has another Bundle Fest until next Wednesday.

https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/deviant-bundle

$1.00 / C$1.39 / 1,09 € / £0.95
- The Marvellous Miss Take
- PONCHO
- Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut
- Ratz Instagib
C$3.79 / $2.79 / 2,99 € / £2.59
- Lumini
- Kromaia
- I Want To Be Human
- One Upon Light
- The Land of Eyas
- Fist Slash: Of Ultimate Fury
$5.99 / C$8.19 / £5.49 / 6,49€
- Conga Master
I came here to post this; didn't think I'd be quite so late! Tidy little bundle - I've been vaguely tempted by The Marvellous Miss Take for a while and there's enough to intrigue me that I'm in for tier 2.

It would of course be nice if the GBP price (and EUR, for that matter) was actually equivalent to that in USD... but well, there's always a VPN for that.

I look forward to seeing more in the coming days!

You don't need to have credit to check it, just go to the store part of the app. It's called Saldo Blizzard for me, which is Blizzard Balance.

I wouldn't be surprised if the plan to rebrand to blizz launcher came before the decision to have D2 on there to begin with. At some point someone said, "isn't it confusing to have a dev named launcher with a game not by that dev?" so they went back to the neutral sounding name.

So Destiny 2 might not release day n date with consoles huh. So Bungie drops cross gen support and able to get basically an in house distributor for their game. And still can't release the pc version on time? Just when you think Bungie gonna finally make a big splash in the PC space looks like they are gonna be incompetent instead. Hopefully the delay isn't that long. Maybe its another MGSV or Nier situation where the closer we get to the release the more likely it will be released day/date or at the very least very close with consoles.

$107 for this.

I don't play DOTA2 anymore but I have to ask what is the issue? From what I understand you need to keep paying money to upgrade your battle pass to get it? They have to do something for the whales to cough up money. It's not like they are forcing you to buy it either.

They are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Put something too nice as the ultimate prize and people will complain it's not fair and give something cheap and people will complain it's not worth the price of admission.

There are multiple (free) ways to upgrade your battle pass. You have in game quests, wagering on matches, daily hero and team challenges and predictions for the international qualifiers and main event. There's also the Slark mini game once a week and achievements.
They will probably also give out points for the upcoming co-op campaign. Still most people are going to have to spend money to reach the higher reward tiers.

Take this.

Arcana skins used to cost three times less, and most importantly used to be marketable and tradeable. Nowadays, Valve resorts to this argument of "buy now or never have an opportunity to get it again".

Most of the non-arcana sets also tend to be only available in boxes and aren't tradeable or marketable, which means you'll have to play Valve's roulette if you really want them. There's literally no reason to not be able to buy a specific set in the store besides greed and exploit compulsive behavior of people with more money than brains.

Damn whats up with all these Kickstartered Games and full launches of Early Access titles happening this month?????

Earlier this month we got titles like Bounty Train , Block'hood , Hearthlands, Porno Studio Tycoon, Spaceship Looter and today we got Endless Space 2, Mages of Mystralia,Regalia mentioned above and even sandbox cracftig action adventure Portal Knights who were not mentioned

and some are still happening later this month like Everspace, Starpoint Gemini Warlords, Hover: Revolt of Gamers, Friday the 13th .... + most likely Cryptark aswell (recently got v1.01 patch with promise of releasing soon)

Listening to the Mages of Mystralia OST, it's pretty good. Already knew it had nice music from playing the beta but it's always cool to listen to nice tunes even without playing.

Really enjoying Eliot Quest. I'm square in the mid-game right now. I've had one moment of a meh situation where I had to exit game to farm an item, but it wasn't that drastic.
I really like the pace of the story, how it's doled out with little bites that keep you going, but not so transparently meant to be mysterious. The story exists and you get to it in time, it seems.

I had to put down Darkest Dungeon for now. It's a little dour for playing in a hospital room's guest chair. And fuck if it doesn't feel like the game is intentionally dicking you. I miss a fifth of the time but the enemy doesn't? And my campaign might be backed into a corner. I can't seem to get deeds to upgrade my new recruits and the quests are getting harder. Meanwhile, my people are dying like it's their job to.

Haha, well, I never argued that the game would definitely launch on Steam, just that it wouldn't be tied to Battle.net on the count of everything related to the service being rebranded as "Blizzard".

Edit: That being said, I'm not so sure that the game being a Battle.net title is the death knell for a Steam release. For the foreseeable future, certainly, however I actually think that Acti execs pushing for Battle.net to represent Activision-Blizzard rather than just the latter may eventually lead to Battle.net games releasing on Steam with Uplayesque client integration. "They don't want to give Valve 30%" is a common phrase and often paired with EA, but while it's undeniable that Origin has been successful enough without the games being on Steam, I'm fairly confident the maneuver hasn't worked out as well as EA had hoped, and I'd wager Ubi still releases its games on Steam to this day (Uplay turns 8 this November) because it came to the same conclusion -- that pushing Uplay but still releasing on Steam is the best of both worlds and the most sensible approach.

One of you explain to me why people are so hung up on the cut Valve takes to sell games on their digital marketplace. Every store, digital or not, takes a cut. Why is it painted as such a problem in regard to Steam.

Ah well it is expected. For me I am fine cause at least its not on its own launcher and on one of the two I use.

Still no order?

I also hear that the PC version updates may be behind the console ones.

I mean more specific than that lol. "Summer" could be anything from next month to early September. And knowing how far behind Cold Steel 2 will be would be nice as well since that's the one I haven't played yet.

I'm sure Cold Steel 1 will be out before August.

I'm not really sure what do you mean by hung up here. It is undeniable fact that Steam takes a cut while in theory they could have been taking a smaller cut. Some indie stores do, in fact, take a smaller cut, and if you take the decision to make your own store you're gonna have many problems with that but the cut fairness is not one anymore.

It should also be mentioned that Valve does not have a monopoly on selling games for Windows IA-32 / x86_64 PCs. People don't consider running an alternative to Apple App Store for iPhones because that means you are not releasing your apps for regular iPhones at all. While with Steam, you can create your own.
