LTG streams are about to to be legendary.

Nice to see DInput support, too! Steam is actually supporting the DS4 officially starting today. I've been using it for a while through the Steam beta. Works great.

They finally added the music toggle! Though I dunno of they implemented it how I expected them to.
Now confirm training mode settings are saved upon quitting and Player 2 can pick rematch or character select screen and I'll be set.

For the music, you can choose stage, random, your character, or your opponent's character.

Hooked up my DS4 quick to test out DInput. Works nice!

No player 2 rematch.

Edit: Looks like it has the balance changes in there. Can't non-ex-dp through a fireball as Ryu. Wakeup shoryukens get countered/crush countered unless ex.
Meter build may be different? Takes 6 heavy punches to build an ex bar, 10 medium punches and 15 lights to get a bar. Ryu's forward grab does 120 damage. Backward does 140. Feels like forward throw has way more recovery. Can't throw and then dash up immediately after the animation finishes. By the time Ryu recovers from the throw animation the opponent has quickrisen. In the corner you can stuff a reversal light shoryuken with standing lights after a quickrisen throw.

I'm no software engineer but isn't it weird that they have a version that's called 1.13 but has all these changes? Are they developing gameplay entirely separate or something?

edit: I guess the gameplay changes are in but it just says 1.13 anyway.

How can they still have not addressed Player 2 rematch!? It's actually mind boggling.

That aside, the disconnect / RQ solution with the icons is nice. Although I'm curious how it's actually implemented - can you only view it if you go to the other player's profile or only in battle lounges? It seems like it would be somewhat pointless if it's only visible through manual checking, and not instead displayed on the VS loading screen (when auto joining matches) and on the Fight Request Ask screen.

Edit - So far at least as far as meshes the only new thing I've come across is Akuma's story mode costume.

Ah I see. I guess that removes the need to see it before a match then; hopefully it works!

Also I may be wrong but the wording in the first sentence seems to imply that a LP penalty will be incurred on every RQ / disconnect and not after three as it currently works...? If so that would be good: I would prefer a system where a player loses a smaller amount on any disconnect (even if it's not a actual RQ) and the actual RQs are caught and given a time out and the 1000LP penalty for numerous quits in the time period.

It also has the new menu pictures. You can't seem to pick any characters in training mode. There's probably stuff hidden in the files but I can't do any of that.

Don't need to use that terrible DS4 app anymore. Nice to see rage quitters get benched like this, pretty smart idea.
 
Was playing some casual matches and after a fun match against a Ryu player I got an invite from him for a first to 5. First time someone has done that. Was really fun. Ended 5-2 to me. Was nice to think this dude wanted more matches against me and the game easily allows 2 strangers to do that. So glad I got back into fighting games after not playing them for maybe 10 years.

Neat, I want that special "no disconnect" icon. Hopefully the few times that the game itself decided to do it for me don't count.

My only issue with this is there have been times I thought I was being quit on but in the end it was possibly just some connection error on my end.

For example last night i had a game. on rematched it immediately froze then connection lost. Went to main menu and carried on searching. OK the guy quit on me is what I think. This exact same thing happens 2 more times in a row (play one match, drops at start of rematch) and it must be my end. Is this kind of issue then taken as a rage quit? or can there system tell if it is someone pulling the plug? because as soon as it takes me back to the menu its searching for a new match where as rage quitters have to close the program (I think?)

...nah lets just leak that shit to the twenty niggas playing this game and they'll figure it out

I honestly don't know where / how people extract frame data from the decompressed paks or I'd do it tonight. There doesn't seem to be any clues as to the other S2 characters in here though, all I found was Akuma and his known costumes.

It would be nice to be rewarded for complete integrity, but if they're assigning these icons based on lifetime play history it seems unlikely that anyone will have a clean past. Unless they can all of a sudden distinguish between many kinds of disconnect situations.
 
I was playing with Balrog and noticed that when I held down/back to charge and then went down/forward for a special attack it didn't come out. I had to go straight forward. Did they change that? In IV I could definitely charge down/back and then go down/forward + attack for a super.

Is it the same way with down to up charge attacks? Or can I hold down/back to charge then up/back for the attack?
 
The only thing that shows up in character select is Random Select. Evil Ryu?

Sweet, all that's needed now is for Player 2 to have their own post-match options menu.

So no changes to keyboard controls in this build, as in being able to remap actions to arbitrary keys instead of the predefined set of keys?

They did a general change notes video for USFIV, so there's hope.

Recovery after throw has been increased. They only thing I could do is a meaty Roundhouse to crush counter a wake up DP.

It should be something that can change over time to encourage good behavior among people who shape up and stop ragequitting. I guess it can work like Amazon seller ratings that show ratings over the last 30 days, 90 days, 12 months and lifetime.
 
Ryu st.mp +7 on hit instead of +6
MP DP doesnt get invincibility until the third frame, so its still a great anti-air but you can stuff it on wake-up with basically any button

Yeah that looks a lot worse, more like other character's AA jabs. Still good against neutral jumps and certain attacks but not the universal go-to move it was.

Should someone make a new thread for all of the new info being datamined?

Also, you should be able to change the Random Select's character ID to be whoever you want, including Akuma.
