Street Fighter V |OTVIIII| New Generation - Fighting Game Is Something So Great

That doesn't mean it takes up more time though. It literally doesn't, since you've gotta press the buttons during loading/break. It's the loading taking up your time, not pressing three buttons.

Also, how is it gonna work between rounds if you don't manually do it yourself? They'd be giving us less freedom if they only allowed us to do it at Character Select.

I see were at the splitting hairs part of the argument. Well whatever makes you feel good.

Anyways to answer your question,

Simple, if you want to do during the match. Then do it, and it switches. And you can just also set it before the match starts to be the version you want before the match starts.

Also to be honest, it isn't giving you less freedom, its just letting the selection be done during the CSS which is... well better in all ways. And if you didn't want it to be that way anymore, you could hypothetically switch it before the next match.

So the answer is, they could do both things, and everyone could be happy, and it would literally hurt no one. And you arguing against QOL changes for no reasons other than " cuz" and that's dumb

Can we talk about porn instead?
I've got a question regarding port forwarding:

If I've already got a NAT-type 2 connection on my PS4, do I still need to setup/assign a static IP adress for it?
NAT type-2 means that your PS4 is connected through a router. NAT Type-1 means no router.

NAT-type 3 means limited connectivity.

You need to specify the IP you're opening the ports for and assign that IP to the PS4. So yes, you need to assign a static IP. It's not necessary to assign it to a specific IP, but unless the PS4's the only thing connected to your router, you could possibly fuck up in regards to security.

It's not splitting hairs lmao.

You said it wasted time.
You were asked how exactly it wastes time
Then you just danced around the question for a bunch of posts, because you damn well know it doesn't waste any time cause it's done during loading.

I don't have to spend time remembering / looking up what buttons they are, and then holding down buttons during loading when I could just select them From the CSS.

I answered the question, multiple times. If that is something you can understand... well that's a you problem. I'm not gonna help with comprehension. Or rather you ain't paying enough .

Like if you pay me, i'll break out some charts and shit.

lol ok.
I guess it's a hassle for the goldfish memory afflicted among us.
Fair enough.

I play other games and have adult responsibilities , strange I know. Sometimes I don't remember button combinations. And sometimes I would like to be able to do other things during loading than " hold buttons down via an arbitrary process that can be solved on the CSS that is wasting my time that I could be doing other things during loading " .

I know you play SF all day. That's ok, but sometimes I don't play street fighter for long stretches of time, or video games at all. Because I do things, and its almost like when I sit down and relax to play a video games. Little changes like that, would make my life a bit easier. Its almost why they call them.. quality of life changes.

I don't think there's any reason why they shouldn't make it a toggle on the CSS while still keeping the code. I just don't think it's a big deal in any way whatsoever though.

I can't believe the toggle for costumes is now another issue.

I don't think its much of an issue.

I think it would be neat the other way. I'm not upset the way it is, I just think the reasoning behind " it should be the way it is, because its the way it is" which is arbitrary, is good reasoning for handling a video game, references to games of old or no.

I don't know why all these folks got upset at QOL changes, maybe they all work at the DMV and that's their thing.

How is it a waste of time? You input it during the intros (which can still be skipped). It legit adds zero time to getting into the match.

Now if you wanna argue it's a waste of your precious energy, I guess that makes sense. You do have to hold down some buttons and a direction for a few seconds and that's a lot to ask of one's finger muscles.

Having to enter that input means that I cannot simply browse NeoGAF or whatever while the match is loading, and then tab in (huzzah for windowed fullscreen mode) once I hear the match starting. Instead I have to sit and stare at a pointless transition-screen. And I have to remember to do it again between matches, when I am typically focused on other things.

There is no downside to adding an option to permanently selecting an alt, and people like yourself can just choose to not make use of that option.

This isn't really an argument I took too harshly?

Thats fucking stupid

Let me toggle this shit

If you wanna waste your own time thats ok, leave me out of whatever the hell you are talking about

if you want to waste your own damn time feel free. But keep me out of your shit.

Don't get me involved in your self inflicted inconveniences for your own dumb reasoning.

Are you gonna play dumb, because if you are feel free to talk to someone else. I don't got time to explain the concept QOL changes to someone unelsss they fucking paying me for my time.

Calling things stupid or fucking stupid. Doesn't really mean I'm mad, its that. Dumb.

No exclamation points, or long rants. Didn't require that, not wanting QOL changes just cuz is fucking dumb. I know you on summer break playing SF all day, but sometimes adults use Nono words and they aren't really mad.

Ok, I see. I'm using that guide for SFV port forwarding, but having some trouble assigning that static ip adress. It says the gateway i'm assigning is unvalid, so it might be the wrong one. I've just applied the ones I found in my PS4's connection information, but I guess that's wrong. I've luckily not saved anything, so I haven't fucked up yet.

Maybe insulting people for disagreeing with you is why people think you're being an asshole right now? Just a thought.

I insulted the person who insulted me first. Incase you weren't following.

I get it its a dumb argument in a thread, you might not care about it. But apparently I got memory problems because I can't remember arbitrary codes for a video game that I frankly spend less of my time on nowadays among the other responsibilities. I feel like that's childish way to think, and thus, here we are.

Turbanator, that image is quite... something.

I'm not sure if your router did the same thing, but this is what I did.
  • Find out your PS4's MAC address. I did this by turning on my PS4 and just checking the list of devices connected to my router, and the name of the device was listed as Unknown.
  • Shut off the PS4
  • Assign that particular MAC address a fixed/static IP.
  • Go into the port forwarding section.
  • Specify the ports, specify whether it's TDP or UDP, and specify that this is for that static IP you gave the PS4 earlier.
  • Do the same for all the ports.
  • Save everything.
  • Whine about your character choice in SFV
  • Uninstall it.

At least, that's what I did.

Yes. You're an adult. You do adult things. We get it.

Huh , it wasn't about that. But ok? Clearly I'm not the most responsible one because i'm wasting time arguing shit on the internet.

My adult responsibilities include shilling for Capcpom. Gonna forward the last couple pages to John D and get paid.

They aren't paying you enough.

I feel like shilling for capcom right now, or sega is hard work.

I feel like shilling for NR would be easier. I feel like its less work to get people on yourside, people willingly ignore the jank ass animations in NR games , I feel its easier. SF has like one bad animation, everyone saying SFV look worse than 4. That's hard work man

I did?

It is something that can be handled simpler, on the CSS that can be done permanently so you don't have to do it every time. So it is infact an nessiciary waste , of time and energy that while small could be solved via QOL changes.

So Like I said, if you want to waste your time , by all means. Don't get me involved in your self inflicted inconveniences for your own dumb reasoning. And yes your reasoning is stupid, because this has no effect on actual gameplay difficulty, your reasoning was " not everything should be easy to reach" yeah if you are balancing a game. This isn't the game, this is something that can be solved via the CSS this is a quality of life change, and you not wanting that because you have dumb ideology is is infact that, dumb

Why are you being so hostile? You can get your points across without sounding like a child. As some others have mentioned, the code isn't that hard to do and only takes a few seconds. There are FAR more important QoL stuff I want them to work on.

So I can say anything and you guys are gonna stick to this pointless discussion huh?

So the G1 Climax was really fucking insane, I'm starting to think Omega and Okada are two of the best wrestlers in the scene right now. These guys are just pumping out insane matches over and fucking over again.

Thanks for the help! I'll see what I can do about those two last points

I'm just pissed that I got spoiled on the finishes. It's too hard to keep up live.

I was fortunate enough to not get spoiled on any of them even though I could never watch them live. But Jesus Christ, this last week has had so many fucking amazing matches.

Tanahashi vs Naito, Suzuki vs Okada, Okada vs Omega, THE FINALS.

Omega's given such an amazing performance for this entire year that I honestly am coming around to liking Alex if a wrestler of Omega's caliber thinks there's something to like about him.
