Tsuritama > Any Show this summer.

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Well, that wouldn't be so bad considering that Tsuritama is considerably better than most shows we get every single season. Not everything needs to reach that level.

Y'know I'm pretty sure the Hanasaku Iroha finale got a more positive reception than Sakamichi no Apollon's finale somewhat.

Ando > Watanabe confirmed.
Well, the whole of Hansaku Iroha was worse than Apollon but at least it had the time to develop it's characters to the point where such a finale felt earnt. Also, the finale was better than most of the whole of the second season.

So more promos of shows airing soon:

First up, is Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate, or basically girls, eating food, food porn and indistinguishable non male leads.
http://youtu.be/vLn7cd0qf_U

Next is Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imōto ga Iru! or something, whatever. It has shrill sounding girls.
http://youtu.be/U_WWbYU6ukk

Lastly is Natsuyuki Rendezvous. Fish eye girl still creeps me out, but an OP by Yuya Matsushita would be awesome.

So cats seem to really hate plastic.

I believe this is the first time I've seen Poyo afraid or greatly unsettled by anything thus far. It seems even he gets character development!

Hm... Dang. New thread, and I didn't even notice!

Thank you for being backlog season, summer season.

Mysterious Girlfriend X is pretty good. Not my favorite from last season, but it's up there.

1. boring

2. smut

3. It'd be cool if the characters weren't so hideous. Will watch for Matsuo.

Good to see people agree that Tsuritama> Apollon.

It's been that way for a couple of weeks, but the ending to Apollon really brought attention to the fact that it's adapted from a much longer work. I mean, that's shows throughout but I felt it was really obvious in the final episode.

Anyway!

I can pinpoint the exact moment when I fell in love:

It's hard to describe, but seeing those feet slosh around in the mud at this entrance ceremony epitomized the charm that this show has in spades. I can't say that bacteria was ever a subject that interested me, but the quirky characters and tone, and the way it frames the science lessons with its amusing representations of the microbes is so winning. I hope this keeps up!

I think I preferred Iroha honestly. I was certainly a lot more invested in the characters and their situation by the end of it all.

I can't believe Cosmic put a bunch of LN harem shit over Oda Nobuna no Yabou.

Mysterious Girlfriend X is pretty good. Not my favorite from last season, but it's up there.
I have no idea how it ends so it'll be somewhat exciting. Wonder how they handled an original ending (please don't tell me).
I will hear none of this nonsense, you have to see if your hypothesis was accurate!

(From episode-by-episode calculations!)

no way, I'll be busy doing summer things like close the blinds while soaking in the heat of my pc.

I thought this season was going to suck (outside of Horizon and hopefully MARU), but there are actually quite a few potentially entertaining shows it seems. Will definitely check out Binbougami ga, Arcana Famiglia, Hagure Yuusha no Estetica, Dakara Boku wa and maybe Campione. Would give Muv-Luv Alternative a spin, but knowing the story of the regular Muv-Luv, I'm afraid I'd end up depressed, and I don't like being depressed.

I'm ready.
I approve of your top show priority cosmic.

Top 4 reason of why binbou-gami-ga! is a must watch.
1)Animated by Sunrise which animated Gintama.
2)The director is also the director for Gintama.
3)Music is composed by hamauzu.
4)Main Character is voiced by Kana Hnnnnnghzawa.

I need to pick up Tsuritama again. I stopped watching after episode 2 because I found the characters grating, but these impressions seem to indicate that the show has good characterization, so I should probably watch it.

2. Apollon
3. Tsuritama
4. Nyaruko
5. Sankarea

Best ED:

1. Sankarea
2. Apollon
3. Lupin
4. Tsuritama
0/∞. Shining Hearts

Tsuritama's op had the best song, and Space Bros, visually, had the best OP imo.

Only ED I sat through was for Tsuritama.

I think I preferred Iroha honestly. I was certainly a lot more invested in the characters and their situation by the end of it all.

I can of think of maybe one really off episode in the whole of Apollon where as there are whole stretches of Hanasaku Iroha with bad animation, bad direction and bad characters (some of the side characters, generally). I certainly felt more attached to the cast at the end, but the show was definitely worse overall.

It's kind of cheating to compare then because Hansaku had twice as many episodes.

You're rewatching stuff now!? >_>

Edit: Oh wait, you're watching it for the first time. You do still have a job to do though...

I'm judging from a purely musical standpoint, but I agree that Space Bros. had far and away the best OP visually.

Well, you know, if it's actually good then other people might watch.

I'm expecting more of the same, so no one should get their hopes up.

I'll be happy when blu-rays are cheap as fuck. Like I said before, I don't buy blu-rays unless the series is something that I can re-watch multiple times over, so this series would have to be damn good for me to spend cash on blu-rays :3

That's never going to happen for a Japanese release.
