Episode 286: Wild Arms

What to say. I know that the famous (relatively speaking) Supradarky loves the music from this series. That's how I learned about it. Never really got the impression it was that big of a hit. Never owned a game from the series and don't think my friends have ever played any of these games either. Really, with each passing year I fear it's one of those franchises that quietly is left behind. Which is fine. No problem with letting things run their course instead of going sequel crazy for all eternity. Perhaps a rebirth in the public's mind on a PS1 Classic :p ?

Episode 287: Metroid Revisited

The Bros. did an episode on the Metroid series way way back. I don't even remember it. Probably worth a listen to see how much their podcasting has changed if you are into that kind of thing. But yeah. Today, Metroid is on the table again and I couldn't be happier. A standout series with standout music.

Episode 289: The Legend of Heroes

This episode is gonna be great. The Legend of Heroes has so many games to pull from and I just love the sounds of "instruments" used and the melodies. Mmm. I don't really even know most of the songs or remember the names. All I know is that I'm stepping into something good. Videogame music done right.

Aw man. Not really sure how things will go on GAF in the upcoming days. Quite bummed about the Off-Topic section currently missing as there are some great communities there that I'm now unable to reach. I guess we'll see how things go in the coming days or weeks. For the time being I'm going to update this thread.

Episode 290: Kohei Tanaka

In a lot of ways most of us outside of Japan probably aren't all that familiar with this man and his music in videogames. I know that's my case when looking at the tracklist this week. It isn't until we move into this decade that there are some titles that I can picture immediately in my head (except Paladin's Quest which I recognized as well). And that's kinda cool. I think for many of us this will be a bunch of fresh tracks beyond the Gravity Rush stuff.

Been ages since I last updated this thread, but thought our most recent episode was worth letting as many people know about as possible. We interviewed Tim Follin! Had a wonderful 45 minute conversation about his career. It was surreal and awesome and any Follin head will not want to miss this episode!
