i've ordered 3 things for store pickup and they're all ready for pickup. they set these items aside with your invoice, it's not like they wait til you get there to allocate the order.

Yes but there's no guarantee when they will go get your items. Things are crazier and busier on Black Friday that online orders aren't as high priority. Even on normal days they sometimes take an hour or two. It's just not worth the risk of giving up guaranteed in stock and ready to ship and try and hope they get your item before someone else does and they then cancel it cuz they ran out.
