The Tokyo Game Show 2008 is from Oct 9th to the 12th in Japan (GMT+9). It opens at 10 AM and closes at 5 PM on each day. The first two days are press days, and the remaining two days on the weekend are public days.

I think visually it looked pretty good for being a first look, but the gameplay looked rough (especially the combat collision) and the animation really early and, yes, stiff is a good word. Environment was a bit bland but ok and enemies and player character looked nice even this early.
