That's right, wave your Union Jacks while you can, he'll be exclusively Scottish soon. Brexiting cunts…

Congratulations Mr Murray.

What happens if Scotland separates from the UK? Does Wimbledon go back to not having a British champion in 80 years? Haha.

Murray is so unlikable.

Praise Cameron the most high. Truly a great Briton and man of the people unlike Murray.

Cool speeches, but rather uneventful final. It could be expected, Raonic hasn't enough weapons to beat a good Murray. His return isn't good enough, and behind that his offensive style is a joy for a passer and lobber such as Andy. And on serve, Murray can always put a few balls back into play, more than other players (except Djokovic), and grab a game or a tie-break thanks to that. Since he won against Tsonga Murray was the favorite and he managed to honor this status.
Murray deserves his win as he's been clearly the most consistent player behind Djokovic for a while.
Overall, not a very good Slam year so far, hope to see an exciting US Open.

This thread is fucking toxic. Wow.

Great tournament by Murray. Well deserved win.

Agreed, so much negativity. The game wasn't all that exciting but it was very well played. People shouldn't hate on Milos eitherl, he's very much still going to win at least one Slam.

I love Fed but the idea that this would have gone any differently seems premature.

premature is the wrong word, pointless is better. but federer has won the last 5 matches he has played against murray, so even a decent effort from him would probably have resulted in a more enjoyable final.

don't think this is a given at all.

Injuries could happen and he could stagnate for other reasons. But he looked damn focused against both Federer and Murray and is looking much tougher mentally than he did earlier this season. Maybe I'm a sucker for serve and volley kind of guys, but Milos IMO is the best younger player and some day Novak and Andy are going the Federer route of looking like an old fuck all of the sudden.

The big four lockout at Wimbledon continues - not since 2002 (Hewitt) has a man other than Federer, Nadal, Djokovic or Murray won it.

Murray's defense was incredible today, and Raonic did well to hold serve 12 times in sets 2 and 3. The point Murray played at 4-1 in the TB was majestic. Think Murray got a bit nervous at the start of the third, his serve dropping and a few UEs creeping in, but Raonic couldn't take his 2 BPs. Apart from that, Murray hardly missed a ball in the last seven sets he played this year (from the final set against Tsonga till the title today).
