Huh, well, would not have guessed after their seeming UE3 work.
Um...does Id Tech 5 has support in japanese? I guess it must been hard for Tango to be the first japanese team to work with that engine.

Yeah you can see the low-res effect in action!MERGATERXTURES!
That's a great question.Um...does Id Tech 5 has support in japanese? I guess it must been hard for Tango to be the first japanese team to work with that engine.
I'm pretty sure this looks like a game I've played already.
Can't say I'm terribly excited to play it again.

Ok... I'm excited by how this looks, but if this is in any fucking way using the engines from Fallout/ES...
That would NOT be a good engine for a game like this... I don't want a survival horror game to feel "stiff" like those games do.
They should give it to Carmack for overhaul after their finished. I would look mindblowing and run on 100 fps.Isn't this pretty big news considering we thought it was UE3? The game should look amazing.
This uses the engine from Rage.
I would suggest against buying the PS3 version:

"the evil within", huh? So would you say that the evil... Is resident?
Well, apparently a lot of their projects are using idtech5, but the threat was more "If you can't get Doom 4 off the ground, you're going to become an engine studio."Weren't the rumours that Bethesda were making iD finish their engine up properly so that they could employ it with their other projects (and in the process kind of putting Doom 4 on hiatus) or did I grossly misinterpret the latest Doom 4 news?
Welp, Bethsada/ZaniMax were probably pushing for idtech5. "Pls, SOMEBODY has to use this damn thing!"
Everyone, avoid the PS3/360 versions

False. It's using Unreal Engine 3.
I will give a cookie to the tenth person to say this. I think we're up to five. :3
That is not what the Famitsu preview says.

I will say a prayer for my console gaming brethren.
Not all was happy in PC land, either. Wasn't the game basically unplayable at launch on AMD cards and John Carmack said something to the effect of "Oops, sorry, too bad."?

This doesn't look like id tech 5 (lowres textures aside). It reminds me of UE3 actually.
But if that means id tech 5 has been improved and the lighting isn't as flat as in Rage anymore, then great.
Yes, a very easy comparison to make.Honestly it reminded me of Shadows of the Damned, but somewhat improved.
What? I don't care what Famitsu says, this doesn't look anything at all like id Tech 5.
