The Last Of Us 2 teased?

Many of the high-ranking staff members who were working on the game have left Naughty Dog in the past few months. Cancellation is absurdly unlikely, but the game's clearly getting sent back to the drawing board to some degree.
Many? U mean like 3 people out of 200?

You're joking now, but Ellie's immunity/infection could have some strange effects on any future children she might have. That could actually lead to some great stories.

Left Behind Spoilers

I don't think she's going to have any kids at any point in her life.

Quote from Druckmann.

“Now when I was writing it I was writing it with the idea that Ellie is gay..."

I would love to Joel and Ellie to appear on TLoU2, but rather than being the protagonist; they just happen to provide help to a new main character, nothing more.

Instead of a sequel, Maybe one more single player dlc that's PS4 exclusive?

This is what I'm thinking. What better way to sell the same game over at $60. There's no way they would even tease a new TLoU at this point. They want to sell the first one again and also market Uncharted on the PS4. It's way too early for TLoU2.

I would be so happy, a sequel focusing on an older ellie is a best case scenario for me. Be a bow and arrow specialist please.

Was the writing in Golden Abyss up to snuff? I haven't played it.

The writing in Golden Abyss was horrible (but then, so was UDD's. Still, UGA's was even worse than UDD's). I thought it wasn't too great a game in general. The graphics were pretty and it had two or three fun chapters but for the most part it was pretty meh IMO. Although I think that mostly comes down to the Uncharted formula relying on the story being good and if that's not the case there's not much that can motivate you to get through the mediocre gameplay.

It's getting crazy leading up to E3 lol

Adult Ellie would be incredible.I would love to play as Ellie whose 40+ just like Joel was.

Would be a first in gaming(?)

Maybe TLoU is the new ND trilogy. Uncharted 3 was revealed about 1 year after Uncharted 2 was released and Uncharted 2 was revealed about 1 year after Uncharted 1 was released.

I dont want it... but I'm really tempted by a sequel with Ellie as the protagonist and Joel old or dead.

But I'd be more interested in new characters and a new setting... I want to play somewhere where clickers have evolved differently, in South America or Europe.

The thing is, how far can they stretch the universe without snapping the narrative? We know for certain that the acting/script/story are going to be top notch, but what of the 'events'? Clearly they can add in the new mechanics from Left Behind with no problem, and even have occasions when there are herds of the infected, but what about the infected themselves? Could there be something beyond the
Bloater
or perhaps something that is of a different branch of evolution entirely? Would it be destroying the nature of the narrative if other creatures could become infected too?

It needs to steer well clear of RE but perhaps with great writing we could be introduced to some new enemies.

Just like the time #DRIVECLUB was delayed so that it could be made into a launch title for Project Morpheus.

MOTHERFUCKING HYPE TRAIN, CHOO CHOO!
I'm all aboard. I do hope Joel is still in the game though, I want to see more of their relationship.

Also doubt there's going to be any talk of it this year, maybe E3 2015?

I'd love a sequel in the same setting a few years down the line that has absolutely nothing to do with Joel/Ellie.

Maybe some more DLC, which is specific for the PS4. I think Sony has enough to show this year at E3, and can hold on to TLoU 2 for next year.

They established 20 years of lore of infection, I can't see how they could really establish any more type of infected without bordering on the absurd. This is coming from someone who thought the inclusion of bloaters were too "Gamey" and took me out of the game.

I don't think they need to add more infected, they just need to make them more dinamic and terrifying to play by making them smarter or having more dynamic environments that.

For example, I tipped over a chair in a house with three clickers, yet the chair didn't make a sound and the clickers didn't care. They should fix that and make it so I need to watch out for where I'm walking. Just by adding that would drastically change stealth.

On a thread about a sequel?

Some people might just be interested in knowing a sequel is being teased without having actually finished the game/are waiting for the PS4 version/have yet to buy the DLC.

EDIT: I've finished TLOU a while ago, don't worry

Although last of us could have been a perfect self contained story, I want more of that world.

A direct sequel set 10 years later with a older ellie as main character seems fucking awesome tho.
