Except the Photo Mode in InFAMOUS (and I think TLoU) doesn't do any pre-rendering, and uses the in-game engine in a customisable way for the user to then use the Share button. Gran Turismo 5/6 uses a pre-rendered Photo Mode but no-one passes them off as gameplay, so I don't see why it would be an issue.

Nobody passes them off as gameplay, but there are those on GAF who claim GT's photomode shots are 'realtime', as they are not pre-rendered, only rendered very slowly.

Is there a game with equal (or better) voice acting, or all around story?

I give the remaster shit, but honestly the story-telling in it is one of the best I've ever experienced. Not the plot, but the story between Ellie and Joel and how they grow as characters throughout the game.

I think that makes sense.

"Add" is the wrong word, it makes them more prominent for sure tho

Shouldn't compression actually help in obscuring them?

No, compression's artifacts are the culprits

You guys should realize those screens are 200kb, a 1080p JPG should be about 1-2.5mb
png/bmp is the best for screenshots

Are we sure the game will run in a steady 60 FPS? I mean, I hoped so too, but when it was made clear that you could limit the FPS to 30 I started to doubt how much the framerate will go up and down.

If it was a rock solid 60 no one in their right mind would bring it down to 30, right?

Apparently some people want the game to be as close to the PS3 version as possible and so the 30FPS option is for them.

Going by what has been said on Twitter, and elsewhere, I think it'll stay at 60FPS with small dips here and there. If it fluctuates massively, which I don't think it will, then the tweets will need explaining.

Ok, thanks. I'm not that picky, I usually don't notice fluctuations if it stays within the 50-60 range. That should be fine

Great... photo mode. That's what we need, another way to make games much better than they actually do.


The idea here is to take a proper, uncompressed screenshot. Photo Mode makes over hyped bullshots look honest.
