I'm running a C2D @ 2.66Ghz and I got an average of 70 fps at 1920x1080 on my HD 4870 512mb card.. if you're only getting 49 fps average on your 4870X2 at 1600x1200.. something must be up.

Are you forcing AA or AF through CCC?

It's set at "Application Managed".

In the PC version there's a "high speed mode" for battles, which speeds things up, it doesn't go into detail but it probably just skips all the unneeded animations.
That's very nice and surprising. I was hoping someone would mod that into the PC version but I guess it's not needed now! The animations were what drove me to quit the 360 version. If only they'd patch it in, since my iMac got like 15fps on the benchmark.

Has anyone played with the engine .ini files? It seems like there are quite a few options there and I guess you could get a preview of how the game would run with reduced settings. (Personally I haven't tried it, I get nice performance as is ;))

Hmm...don't they have another batch of 8800GT with Samsung RAM? It may be possible that's what I have. I know a friend of mine with Qimodia RAM couldn't break 960. I'll scale it back anyways, as you've suggested. I didn't realized it adjusted it's voltage and timings on it's own.
They did, not too many to my knowledge, and the Samsung chips were scare even on the 8800GTS 512MB's.

I know mine are specifically Qimodia chips as I placed heatsinks on mine.
Either way it's less than 1fps and doesn't hurt to be sorry.

My system specs:
8800GT 512MB
Athlon64 X2 6000+ (3.00Ghz)
3 GB DDR2 800 Ram
Windows 7 64-bit

Benchmark: 64.84 FPS @720p.

Nice.

Ah, good old 8800GT, you serve me well.

Average FPS 90
Lowest was 30 (during the gun explosion)

I don't like that my lowest is 30 FPS, anyone else with a similar system getting same lowest FPS? I don't like it anything below 60 :lol

E4400@2GHzstock, HD4850, yeah, the CPUs majorly choking

42,64 FPS

Can't believe the CPU is having that big of an effect on performance.
You should try OC'ing to see if you get a big boost.

My lowest was 29. It shouldn't effect my gaming too much since it only happened with absurd things on the screen. Consider that gun part a cutscene if it bothers you.

Haven't run a benchmark in a long time. Here goes:

E6400 @ 3.2 GHz
GeForce 7900 GT
2 GB RAM
Vista SP1
1280 x 720

28.65 FPS

It's 2Ghz man :lol

Bump it up to 3

E6750@3.2ghz
8800gt
4gb Ram
Xp sp3

@1920x1200
51.20 FPS

@1680x1050
64.60 FPS

Not bad considering the resolution. Games look MUCH better @ 1920x1200, so I'll be sticking with that.

Pretty nice looking game.

Help me GAF, I got 9FPS average :lol :lol

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.6Ghz
Graphic: Nvidia GeForce 8400GS
RAM: 2GB

I think the faulty shit is the 8400GS. In the japanese page it says at leas 8800... oh well :lol

Guess I have to change something after all

Cant be happier with this card. its been 2 years since I bought it and its still serving me so well...it has given me some of the best gaming moments of my life (RE4, Crysis, CoD4, Oblivion, The Witcher...the list goes on)

Something else might be wrong...what resolution did you run it? I have less ram then you,a 4 year old dual core at 3.4 ghz and a 7950 and I got 33 FPS...at 1024x768 mind you but still.

I thought I would have accomplished much worse with my specs:

Intel Core2Duo 2.2GHz
1440*900
Ati Sapphire 3870 HD 512 MB
2 GHz Ram

65.89 fps

@1280*800
74fps

Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz
4Gb DDR2-1066 RAM
EVGA 8800GT Superclocked version
Vista 64-bit SP1

1440x900 = 83.34 fps
1920x1200 = 51.88 fps

I need to start playing games in 1440x900, I could barely tell the difference in how it looked. Saw it burst to ~135 fps in that resolution, dropped to ~32 during the cannon shot close-up. In 1920x1200 it burst as high as ~90 fps and dropped to ~20 fps on the cannon shot.

I was running it at my naive resolution, 1440x900 Widescreen. Do I have to play it in lower resolution to get more FPSs?

For me it worked, as long as I didn't swap to windowed mode, increasing 8 fps from 1440*900 to 1280*800 fullscreen

No what the hell now. Benchmark at 640x480 and I got 25 FPS. What the fuck.

I'm off... going to buy another video card. Remember, 8400 sucks hard time. It's better using no video card than this shit really. EVEN World of Warcraft at minimum works shit. Or it's something fucked up in my PC or its the card that sucks really A LOT:

Ha! I was just thinking the opposite last night, I went from 1920x1200 to 1680x1050 and thought everything looks noticeably fuzzier.

Ahh well, must be time to upgrade. :lol

What Res? The 8400GS only has 64-bit memory path and 16 stream processors, so its tough getting high res out of it with playable framerates. Compare that, say, to an 8800, which has 96. Its definitely hampering you.

Hmm, I should try running mine at lower res, methinks I'm killing my card at 1680x1050. If lowering it does change it that much, I should try 1280x800 or 1024x600 :D

AVG FPS of about 52.

Dual 3.2Ghz Processors
8800GTS (Need to Overclock)
2G DDR2 RAM
1680x1050

I'm so fucking stoked for this game.
Do we have a release date for PC yet?

7950GT is still quite a bit more powerful than an 8400GS. The 8400 is simply not meant for gaming.

Man, I really wish LCD monitors didn't have the shittiest video scalers in all of consumer electronics. Anything lower than native resolution is unplayable.

I miss CRT monitors. :( I miss 85Hz gaming. :(

50 FPS average at 1920x1080 (dips as low as 11 in gun scene)
90 FPS average at 1280x720 (dips about as low as 30 in gun scene)
120 FPS average 640x480

E8400 at stock 3GHz speed
Gigabyte X48 DS4 motherboard
8GB RAM
Two Crossfired 4850s
No significant difference in XP SP3 or Vista SP1

Only one of my 4850s was running hot afterwards. Does this mean CF isn't supported?

Average 27fps at 1360*768 running full-screen. Dipped to single digits during the Gae Bolg scene.

AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 5200+
2GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3650 512MB

Not too happy with those results, I thought it'd be higher.

I got around the same score with a far weaker processor (x2 4200+ 2.2 GHz) and video card (3850). I don't think this bench likes AMD CPUs :/

Well, now you fuckers have no damned excuse. Buy the GOTY 2008 in 2009.
But I already bought Persona 4.

I'm actually looking forward to this being on PC since I don't own anything Next Gen besides a Wii.

Hmmm...that means the framerate difference between an X2 6000+ and C2D 3.0GHz is roughly 40% (high 90's vs. mid 60's). So this game does need a beefy CPU after all.

Just a C2D and up, really. I can't speak for the recent AMD offerings, but just about every single C2D chip on the market can be OC'ed to 3.0 range with little effort.

You should try OC'ing to see if you get a big boost.

Ah well, I can't remember, but oced to 2.9GHz and now get 60 average.
With 16xAF and 4xCSAA (12 samples), mind you :D

Oh yeah, for everybody else:
Windows XP 32-bit
E4400@2.9GHz
Gainward HD4850 512 MB Golden Sample
