Now that it's just getting tacked on as kind of a neat oddity instead of being used as the full blown file system, there's not much to talk about. Bad and disappointing news has no place in the Reality Distortion Field.
I'm not sure what happened with ZFS but it seems like maybe they either couldn't get it integrated in time or perhaps they simply ran into a wall trying to get it to do what they wanted metadata wise. Adding ZFS support would be a huge undertaking, I'd assume, as so much of the OS relies on intricacies of the file system.
