oh

Lol okay.Because people like his/her videos which, with the exception of that one moment in that one video, has nothing to do with his personal beliefs.
Oh, I believe he placed the ban, but where's the proof in the screen shot? I think someone here stated there's a log of bans that the staff has access to. But I was curious if there's proof to members besides the obvious which I don't see in the screen shot (i.e. "banned by EvilLore"). I could be missing it, though.Yes there's proof, and it's by far not the only time Evilore banned someone because they had a disagreement.
And this proves the other allegations... how?
I mean our president the leader of our country is a piece of shit and I still live in the U.S and love it.As far as the "alt right" they should'nt have ever been allowed to fester and spread in Neogaf as long as they did.
I just wanna talk games and get info on games man I mean where else will I find a community like this.
I can't believe that GAF had a significant alt-right sleeper cell just waiting to be activated.
I also can't believe that Evilore just ripped pages straight from the MRA red-pill playbook for his response.
No one of value will stay here. It's already becoming a cesspit. My advice: get out as fast as you can.

Not everyone who received a ban was hate speaking. And not everyone who doesn't agree with the very far left is far right either.really sick of people saying that shutting down hate speech and generally alt-right fuckery is merely a "social disagreement"
Nah. They're just sex objects.

It isn't a "purity test." It's a very short term solution to getting people in while also trying to keep trolls out. It's a logical decision.
There are literally people on Voat and 4chan compiling the names of people in the Discord to try and harass them.
From what has been announced, this is not the case. The core administration team are not the mods that recently stepped down. They did reach out to former mods to advise on setting up, and from what I've gathered, more transparency about why bans are handed out are a central plank of their stated direction.

you are just so low

So is new OT not going to allow news articles? Old OT was basically where I got a lot of world news from and was really interesting. Will be a shame if so.
However, the focus will be on the many other hobbies we may have like TV, movies, anime, writing, music, etc. Political and social discourse will not be allowed in the new Off-Topic.
Yes. Not harshly jumping to conclusions with little material evidence is low.
I'm just here for the gaming discussion. The courts will decide guilt or innocence, if it even goes that far. As far as inappropriate bans and modding - are you coming here to argue with people or are you coming here to talk about games? I suspect removing Off Topic will result in a precipitous decline in bannings, once the rage-wave clears out.

Yeah, this isn't going to work. Thanks for killing what was a good community though.
He did. First of all I messaged a mod about this:That is awful. But I am curious, do we actually know it was EL who banned Tenumi? I'm not defending his behavior and it most likely was him but I'm curious if there's any way to know who banned you outside of downright stating who it is in the ban message?
That's because they left the rest of the community to die on some hill. Not a good look for a place that wants to be "inclusive".
Evilore, its good to be back. 18 more years.
Remember last week when EviLore told someone "Fuck off, dipshit" in an OT thread saying we should believe women when they make sexual assault claims?
This was inevitable.
To the folks saying resetera isn't from the old Gaf mods, sorry but that was from a number of different sites. If it's not true then ok.
We have conclusive evidence.
We dont need court to baby feed us logic.
So there really is no proof unless somebody who knows (or did it) tells you. Whose to say many of these bans weren't from lurking moderators? My assumption is that's not the case but I can't prove that either.Nope, you can't know unless another mod tells you. It was always anonymous.
Ok, so that's proof. I was just curious. He did. First of all I messaged a mod about this:
And he was forced to lift the ban, after people got very upset. That's why I am wondering why I am seemingly the only one who remembers. It was the even that made the excellent @NeoGAFShitPosts quit.

From the OP:
So, I guess 80% if not more of the (world) news articles will not be allowed.
Not only that: he banned tenumi when tenumi critized his statement. And absolutely childish:
It's ironic how posters who kept using the term alt-right and nazi on anyone who doesn't agree with them find offense in the terms social justice warrior and echo chamber without seeing the hypocrisy of it all. Also funny how they've rendered the term meaningless as they apply it even to moderates. Anyone other than them is now an alt-right; right, definitely not an echo chamber.

Those posters wouldn't see the irony in this even if it hit them in the face
Most of everything wont be allowed, including interviews and reviews that have social issues at their core.
For instance, would OT be allowed to discuss the comments James Cameron made about Wonder Woman? Seems like no.
for someone who isn't alt-right, you sure do know how to use all the buzzwords
Do you have a list of users/examples that demonstrates this? Or are you just pulling it out of thin air?
All the big posters you likely like left for other forums though, so what are you staying for exactly?
