A complicated, multifaceted contract that is likely hundreds to thousands of pages long isn't a deal. It's a trade agreement.
By calling everything a fucking deal and saying you need to have a good deal you are automatically implying that you need to be winning the deal (otherwise you wouldn't be saying we aren't going to do anything that isn't a good deal, for us), which makes it very unlikely for the other side to agree to the deal.
In a typical agreement usually no one is all that happy, but no is fucking pissed either. That's why it's a mutual agreement.
This isn't corporate America where you can just bully other countries into a shit deal because the smaller company doesn't have any other options.
Countries will just say fuck off out of political considerations at home.
