XCOM SECURE CHANNEL – CONTACT TEAM ALPHA – IN-FLIGHT BRIEFING
22 April 2015

XSAT-02 located a landed, repeat, landed alien craft just to the north of Nagoya, Japan, at roughly 0942 this morning. Conventional satellite imaging matches the craft’s profile to the UFO-type that Alfredo shot down in March.

Some of you have had hands-on time with the latest iteration of Bigjiantrobut’s “Laser rifles”, and you can thank Dr. Vek later for the toys later. However, we’ve made the decision in this instance to maintain peak combat effectiveness by keeping you specialist weapon-users armed with what you’re used to for the moment. With recent upgrades to our operational combat firmware, we're able to add a fifth member to the contact team, and our first pick is one Pvt. Fin. Do your best to make him feel welcome.

This is the first time we’re going to encounter one of these things already landed, so be alert. It’s a small ship, but we don’t know what a full crew looks like yet. Expect the unexpected, and watch each other’s backs.
