They didn't really update anything. Only thing they did was erase the cables on the flying cars and fix a couple of errors(which is pretty impressive how they did it, they show that stuff in disc 5 :p). But the original special FX are as just as good as they were in 1982. :)

Blade Runner is a movie that will forever stand the test of time.


The touched up every single FX scene in the movie, turning glaring matte lines and appearance into "perfect" film.


And Zhora, as others mentioned.

It's wildy improved.

PJ's Kong... the special features on the 3 disc dvd make me really appreciate the FX work in this film, despite it being bloated.

Also, movies that don't rely on fx, but use them wisely (ie Children of Men).

The camera work in Terminator 2 is pretty impressive. Too often with earlier CG effects movies they would keep the camera fixed or relatively calm but re watching T2 it's all up close and personal with the camera swaying with every impact.
