lately I've been thinking about continue-screens and how bland most of them have become. They used to have fun little touches like Haggar, Cody and Guy trying to blow out the bomb in Final Fight

Haggar's unusually large chest always disturbed me.

Other noteworthy continues are Metal Gear Solid 3's and the Batman games. I love the way they would taunt you so you wouldn't give up.
