I hated The Old Hunters...Bloodborne had a perfect balance of difficulty and TOH just pushed it too far in the difficulty direction to the point it was no longer fun and challenging, it was just plain hard

I sincerely disagree with you. The only issue I had with TOH in terms of difficulty was Laurence's tracking hand slam ability in phase 2. All the other bosses were completely fair IMO.
