What is life after BloodBorne?

Just beat BloodBorne along with the DLC during my very first SoulsBorne game. Granted, i never dared to touch this game due to the infamous difficulty that most Gaffers associate the game with. My area expertise are action games and Fighting games, ironically those fast reflexes helped me out.

A few gaffers such as Rajang, Jayeh and JimmyFenix pushed me to try it out. I remember seeing the game on sale for 20 bucks and i was like well fuck it let me try it out. At first i had no idea what i was doing, lamps, blood echoes, how to level up, nothing i was a complete noob, but with the help of some old hunters i found a way.

Completing this game makes me feel empty inside because i will miss this beauty world filled with demons and nothing but despair.. but somehow i feel accomplished as a gamer weird as it sounds...needless to say ill miss this unique experience.

Loved Bloodborne, but now I'm interested in playing the other souls games. How does demons souls hold up today? Was thinking of playing this then dark souls.

Pretty damned good. The healing items are in the same vein of Bloodborne so that part will be familiar to you. The character builds and items are a lot deeper in Demon's imo.

it should be fine but there are a couple of things you'll have to adjust to such as having a carry limit for items, different roll speeds depending on the equipment you have (this is present in all other souls games but bloodborne), and no jumping. I beat demon's after I played the other games so it was bit jarring at first but I eventually got over it.

Definitely holds up nicely. I'll say it lacks a lot of the conveniences of Bloodborne though. Things like item and equip weight are things to get used to, as well as the slower, tactical combat. But once you get it, it's really quite awesome. It presents challenges you won't find in the other games. I personally feel it could have used a better climax, but still a really good game.

All things shall pass.

If you liked it, try From's other dark fantasy games. They may not be as fast as Bloodborne, but much of them are focused on monsters and almost fear of what's ahead of you.

For realz though. You should try Demon's Souls OP. Its the most similar to Bloodborne out of the current souls games. I think youd dig it. Provided you with a Dex + Light Armor build and its a fantastic game.

This is literally me after I finished Bloodborne.

I moved on to Uncharted 2/3 which I had not completed, and they were just so boring and unchallenging compared to Bloodborne.

I'm thinking about playing the Souls games, but they don't look as compelling in terms of fast gameplay and lore. I need Bloodborne 2.

Only if Miyazaki is involved.

You should play Demon's and Dark 1. The lore in Dark 1 is pretty amazing, and may be even richer than BB, although maybe a liiittle sparser, which seems like an odd paradox, but hey what can ya do.

I personally like the obtuseness and snappy controls of Demon's the best.

After my 1st playthrough I tried to get into Dark Souls 2. It's just... Bad. In comparison with Bb.

I think that's what I'm going to do, get Demon's. I just wish they had remastered the first two games before the DS2 remaster.

Easy. NG+. Then NG++. Then NG+++. And so on. And so on. And so on. Yharnam isn't done with you yet, good hunter.

You could also do the chalice dungeons if you haven't done them. There are a few unique boss fights in them that you don't encounter during the main game.

Play the souls games until Dark Souls 3 comes out. They may have a slightly slower pace, but it is made up for with how much more variety they have in terms of environments as well as playstyles.

Get in on the other souls games if you enjoyed BB so much.

Just wait for D3 though. 2 months out isn't bad. Gives you time to replay BB on NG+ and get a different ending? Go for the platinum on BB ?

I switched to an alt account to ditch my embarrassing tag so I could be an embarrassing Naughty Dog fanboy in peace. Ask me anything!
maybe try Witcher 3 :)

Not the suggestion I think OP is looking for. OP If you like you games mechanically competent I dont think Witcher 3 would be a good bet. If you feel like playing a story driven game then yeah Witcher 3 will most certainly float your boat.

Anything made by platinum games is of the same quality (except for Korra), has an incredibly satisfying learning curve for mastery of combat and has a ton of replay value for this reason and because of higher difficulties. Give Transformers Devestation a shot!
