something this game still needs:

a way to tell which gwent players you have beat. can't tell you how many times i've accidentally replayed the same opponents and won no cards from them. enough times that it's annoying :)
You can tell who you've already played by the color of the text when you speak to them. If it's completely white than you've never played them, but if it's slightly greyed out you've already played gwent with them.

EDIT: beaten

Sigh, didn't think I'd have to do this, but I updated the OP to say that PC patch is AWOL.

Well, at least it's not a bug. Going to be sure not to unequip my feline swords for a while.

There's a possibility it's a bug considering CDPR didn't mention it anywhere. Will have to wait until PC users get their hands on it before we know if it's on all platforms.

Are you on PS4 like the others?

Ugh, fuck this patch then. Acknowledged for two months but they just wont fix it.

This was a big patch with a ton of effort behind it. They can't just fix everything because they're aware of it. They have to do work and that takes a lot of time.

Keep it up CDPR. You're doing stellar work supporting the game so far.

I reckon the new Witcher gear levels are deliberate, both to increase difficulty in later levels and to prevent relic hear being so easily outclassed. Think it's a pretty smart change myself.

Hmmm, when I check for an update it tells me I have the latest version. Checking that it shows me 1.05?
Others in the UK have downloaded it succesfully. Sony must be pissed at you in particular. What did you do?

CDPR is trying to be cute with this '24 hours' thing. They knew PC version was gonna be 12-18 hours late. Just say that, be honest.

Nope all new, no issues with any other patches. Is strange. I have seen a few say they haven't got it yet in the UK though, didn't realise any had.

I was joking about the used part, but yea, strange. Try rebuilding database, maybe?

So fucking glad I finished the mastercrafted Cat armor/swords quest last night now. Pretty sure I just ticked over to 31 too so I'm super lucky I equipped it all last night!

Fucking sucks for everyone else though. Pretty rough decision by CD Projekt to do this without letting current players know o_O

I just go by whether or not the dialogue option is gray rather than white. Gray means it's been asked to this person before, ergo I've already played Gwent with them.

I also have a running list handwritten too though heh

I don't think it works... just tested it on PS4. beat an innkeep, got a card, left the conversation entirely, retalked... gwent option looks exactly the same color/shade as "show me your wares" hmmm

So they should have held back the console patches until PC was ready? :p

They could patch the console version 100 times and it still wouldn't match PC. Why hold out?

It has nothing to do with holding one back for the other. Release them when they're done, don't make people wait for ridiculous reasons.

Do they have to purposely be shitty to console players to appease you?
Well the console people were crying about how they love PC more than console. They were the tattletale so yeah. They deserve shitty treatment. Mama said nobody likes a tattletale! @The Dear. Thank you for clarifying.

What ridiculous reason do you think they are waiting for? It sounds like the PC patch just isnt ready.

I'm guessing they're waiting until tomorrow to deploy the PC patch so they have all hands on deck to deal with any GoG / Galaxy server issues.

EDIT: And it looks kind of bad if they release it on Steam and Origin and not their own client.

You sure you haven't accessed his shop before? Might be a bug but I haven't heard of that issue before.

I got the last few Gwent cards I needed thanks to the patch and went through a checklist making sure I had them all but the Collect em All quest didn't end, so I'm guessing that's glitched. I already got that trophy on my second playthrough, so it's not too bad, it's just annoying that I couldn't get that one last quest done.

I really like all the additions and fixes they've made though. The new movement system is great.

welp, I'm on PS4. I left my save before updating on
Ciri's Story: Visiting Junior
and now the window to start the mission appears locked.

Edit: Well, reloading a past save did the trick... Close, very close.

Bunch of impatient people in this thread getting salty about having to wait for a patch. You'd think CDPR killed your grandmother and declared a blood feud on your offspring or something.

Well my download has eventually finished, It only took 5 hours. I dunno how other UK guys aren't getting the update, it was up for me minutes after the patch released.

I had a quick 5 minute mess around with the new patch installed as it's now 3am here in the UK and I really need to get to my bed. My first impressions of the alternative Geralt movement aren't great, I don't like it. It just seems unrealistically stupid. I'm glad they didn't lock out the old movement and you have the choice of which way you want it. But, like I said I only played around for 5 minutes or so. I'll try it again tomorrow when I'm less tired but I can see me sticking to the old movement. I'm more excited for the stash and other inventory fixes.

So... I'm in Novigrad right now, and the performance certainly feels better. To my eye, it's a steady 30fps. No noticeable drops or egregious pop-in. The new movement scheme feels quick and agile. As far as I'm concerned, they've fixed whatever small issues I had with this game... but I'll bite my tongue until someone posts a more technically-minded set of impressions.

PS4, by the way.
