Enterprise from ST TMP. I'm one of the seeimly few people who liked the shuttle fly-by scene.

The Jerry Goldsmith score was pretty much perfection during that sequence. I could only imagine it being pure eye porn for Trek nerds back in 1979. You never saw a view of the ship that detailed or up close in the show.

Though for me, I saw the movie long after TNG, and it didn't have as much of an impact on me. It was also odd hearing The Next Generation theme song in the movie.

I went and watched the phantom planet after seeing that post, including portions of the MST3K episode.

Honey Bunches of Death made me LOL

Miranda just screams budget restrictions. Like they had these Enterprise parts laying around and came up with a new ship.

They pretty much did. Fun fact: the initial design had the nacelles on top and weapons on the bottom, but the guy in charge saw it upside down and liked it.
