IC and Inkling for reasons everyone else has posted but I'm still an Isaac hopeful since there are a couple of GS songs but no stage of Assist trophy. Gonna go 100% with a stage as well because damn a Venus Lighthouse (or any lighthouse) stage would be goddamn radical.

Also, I was checking out old prediction thread and I spotted this gem,
In an ideal world, Ryu would show up in the Smash trailer. However, before a "Newcomer - Ryu" sign can pop up, a blue hand appears on Ryu's sholder. A voice says "SIT DOWN SON" and it's revealed that the blue hand belongs to none other than NEWCOMER - MEGA MAN X.
Ironically enough it kinda happens in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. It happens the opposite.

You're right on that. Rumors are rumors, and I always take rumors as rumors, not 100% actual facts. It does't change anything here because I personally found it fair for everyone to make their own predictions based on so small information about upcoming Smash project, regardless if it's happening or not. There are few hints that Smash for Switch is coming but it's not outright confirmation yet.
I personally prefers to have everyone to be on fair ground to make their own prediction without knowing anything about new characters yet. If it's all about predictions, so I don't think we would wait for confirmation on that matters, and there is a small chance that we could get character reveal at Switch Presentation, but again, they could held it off until E3. No one knows but that's what made it incredibly interesting and potentially tough to predict what would happens with the franchise and roster this time.
On that matters, it's up to you to make decision to post the prediction here but if you don't want to do it then I respect that. The thread is going to get locked on Jan 12 at midnight. If we didn't get any character reveal, then the thread would get unlocked and everyone would have their chance to edit their rosters accordingly in the future. No big deal and it only take up like 5-10 minutes of everyone's time.

Inkling - new character, newcomer, highly requested character (probably the most requested among general fans too).
I still think Ice Climbers coming back is a bit based on if 8 Player Smash will come back. I don't believe they would work with 8 player Smash as they already had to remove some bones and features from the stages. That being said, the Switch will be more powerful so it might not be an issue.

Switch being more powerful is the perfect excuse to break roster parity and add Ice Climbers and Inklings. Between the Ice Climbers in 8-Player Smash, and the ink effects of the Inkling (assuming they feature ink effects), Sakurai could always just say, "Sorry 3DS and WiiU players, it's just not technically feasible to get these characters running on those versions of the game. Please buy Smash 4 Switch!"

I wouldn't be disappointed if they are going to get rid of online feature for Miiverse. I played in that stage once in awhile so I always see racists, exotic fanarts, movie spoilers, and terrible things from Miiverse Stage. My friends complained that they got their movies ruined by jerks online who would post spoilers on day 1.
However, I have a counter suggestion for them what to do with the stage. They could pick like 10 best comments and 10 best artworks they could find from Miiverse, and use them for preset choices per characters.

While I agree that the spoiler angle really sucks and I personally know people who have fallen victim to it... Smash 4 just isn't Smash 4 without being able to see crude art of two penises kissing when you land a KO with Mega Man.
It's precisely because Nintendo seems to have completely given up on Miiverse moderation that the Miiverse stage is so awesome/terrible/funny/ghastly. Of course, it makes complete sense that they wouldn't bring it back (at least with online functionality), but damn will I miss it...

I suppose that you got a good point there. I have a feeling reason why Miiverse stage would be cut is because Miiverse is more likely to not returns for Nintendo Switch. However, I hope they would implement something new that would be much better than Miiverse because I really enjoy fans' works on Miiverse.
My favorite art on the Miiverse stage was Ryu with penis hands launching a jizz-ball hadoken at a vagina. Although I'm not sure which character was supposed to be the vagina. I really wish the artist had been more thoughtful and at least labeled the vagina character for clarity!

Ha, no, I'm not sure what my predictions are yet.
I mean, yeah, I pretty much expect Ice Climbers and Inklings, like... pretty much everyone in this thread.
But I'll give it more thought before I commit to anything!
You know I want Snake more than anything! If this was a simple matter of what we want, Snake would be top of the list. MGSV is like a Top 10 GOAT for me.
I do think he's possible, though. It can't sit right with Sakurai that SSB4, which is otherwise a who's who of (Japanese) videogame all-stars, inexplicably lacks the original guest character, Snake, who is still hugely relevant.
I'm confident Sakurai has done everything he can to bring back Snake. And if Sakurai is working on Smash Switch (as he surely is), I'm confident he's still trying to bring back Snake. Perhaps he was able to close a deal with Konami.
I mean, even if Konami had a falling out with Kojima, I can't imagine a scenario where Kojima wouldn't want his most beloved character in Smash. Of course, that raises the possibility of Konami not allowing Snake just to spite Kojima. Which in turn raises the question, what does Konami care about more: Making money or spiting Kojima?
If they want MGS to retain its brand power, Snake in Smash is one way to do it. (Also, MGSV: Definitive Experience on Switch, please.)

- Ice Climbers - vet, would've been in the original versions if 3DS didn't hold them back. Seems too obvious to have them return
- Wolf - vet, represents Brawl like IC represents Melee. I hope he makes it back in more than anyone >_>
- Inklings - duh, least surprising newcomer ever, though at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if they were skipped. Feeling its much more likely they're in this time though.
- Chorus Kids - heavily rumored for the original release and there's evidence in the original game files that RH was supposed to be further represented in the original release. If 3DS held them back it's not holding them back now
- King K. Rool - that random mii costume he got out of nowhere is suspect as hell for me. I think he did place high in the ballot, enough to make them notice him, and that was a consolation prize of sorts. If they go back to the ballot for newcomer choices K Rool would be my first guess.
- Geno - got a Mii costume, Sakurai said he wanted him in Brawl, they're in with Square Enix now that Cloud's in the game. I think there's a chance, not a huge one though but fuck it lets take a risk.
