I really liked that series up until the final story arc, which is kinda true for Yamada as well. The mangaka at least learned a bit from that and hopefully her next manga continues that trend.

Spring Weapon is a bit of a mystery what's quite going on with it. Sales wise it was a bomb, first volume didn't sell enough to track for top 50 for its release week. Ranking wise it might have life, since getting a random color page (which is rare for a series that's doing bad which it was prior) it has placed oldest to newest 12th/15, 8th/14, 13th/15, 4th/14 and 8th/13. Could I see it being axed next week? Yes, but I could see WSJ just as well letting it survive until the next axing round; especially if World Trigger doesn't come back soon.

Yeah, I was not expected it was going to be that guy. They're really reaching into the back catalog for characters to bring back.
I always thought that one would last longer than the other new series that came out around the same time. It's nothing great, but I enjoyed the first 3 chapters enough.
i agree largely but the complete non-ending really really miffed me.

Biohazard: Heavenly Island 1-19
Yes, it is in fact that Biohazard. The Capcom one. Resident Evil.
So this takes place after 6 and Rev2 (I think) and before 7, and there's a Survivor (the tv show not the crap game) kind of series where a bunch of supermodels and idols are gonna compete on a tropical island. And then there are BOW and they turn into zombies and now its Dead Island Riptide. So it mainly follows a cameraman and an idol he was following around when the virus broke out.
And since I don't want to be doubted -
This sounds dumb but if you think about what the name "Resident Evil" has been attached on for two decades, it barely registers a medium on the Resident Evil is Really Stupid Scale. Really it just has more titties in it in this series where no one fucks.
Also Vasquez from Aliens is in it.

What goes up etc. I wouldn't have thought that'd be a particularly hard attack to dodge (especially for CEC users), though it might be the first time she's actually used the 'fang' for direct offence, so I guess there's the surprise factor.

Flipping back to the specific chapter the scene was reference, I could definitely see the subtext now. Especially interesting since Mutsuki's arc has been running parallel with everything Kaneki went through in the first series.
Though unlike Kaneki, I think Mutsuki is too far gone.

If the authors' names are familiar to you, it should come as no surprise that this manga is an autobiographical depiction of her daily life and the hardships she encounters.
The cutesy and cartoony art is reminiscent of other autobiograpical LGBT works such as Honey & Honey and Plica, and anyways will neither bother those interested by this topic, nor will attract those who aren't, which is fine.
Can't wait for the rest to get translated.

I'm going to speculate that there's a good chance the first volume will be released Decemberish if they decide to license. They usually (at least for mainstream Shonen Jump stuff) want about 6-8 volumes in hand (it was this way for Food Wars, Black Clover, Bakuman, and a few other series iirc).
Give how popular it is (and the fact it will likely get an anime if it keeps going strong as a Jump property) I'd imagine it'll get a print license in good time.
