Alright, so I'm usually the game buyer in my relationship. There are some rare occasions when my SO wants a game that we don't already own, but it's either something I would have bought either way (so I get it as planned and put it in my backlog) or something I have zero interest in (so I ignore that it exists)... with one exception - Summer Sales.
So during the Steam sale and with the new Humble sale he has built up a cart of about 20 games that he will buy tomorrow or whatevs, and they are all interesting! D:
So now to my big dilemma. What do I do with this? I could just add them all since I plan on playing them (yay family sharing), but it would be such a hit to my progress to get an unplanned -20 like that.
What I guess I could do instead is to ignore that they exist until I play them, and add them as I go. But would that be fair? Ugh, I dunno.
In other news, my own recent purchases can't be installed because I have filled up my two SSDs with MMOs (active ones), modded games (that I don't want to mess with) and big titles I have not finished. Oops. I guess I need to go back and finish a couple of road blocks. Heh. July will just be a complete loss with the new purchases and me playing The Witcher 2 all month. Great!
I wouldn't count them until you start to play them. It wasn't your choice to buy them, it shouldn't count against your progress.
