If Beyonce was being upfront about being an opportunistic money-grubbing fame whore I wouldn't have a problem with her. The problem arises when she positions herself as a role model and an upstanding model of propriety. Then you kinda have to point out that she's really a raunchy-ass mess if we go by those very standards she claims to promote.

I always thought skanky was just how you're portrayed, as opposed to being slutty which is what you actually do...
Roy isn't using Beyonce being "skanky" as a reason why she is a bad person, but rather that her being skanky contradicts certain things she has said, and how she attempts to portray herself.
I wouldn't call Beyonce a "slut," because it's clear her vagina only gets play if Jay-Z is swiping the black card, so she's definitely no Taylor Swift. However, her music, and image has always had a sultry to borderline pornographic tone... which kinda makes her skanky.

WHY: Another underrated track. Born This Way succeeds in every way. It's possibly one of the catchiest choruses Gaga has created, but the beauty of it is that it's also extremely wordy - the lyrics are more involved than most her tracks. It's probably the only song to ever incorporate such a strong, ballsy, message into such a consumable package. I have always loved the song.
4. SCHEIßE
WHY: Scheiße succeeds because it's everything we love about Gaga - it's weird and completely off-the-wall yet so easy to love. Incorporating gibberish into a track is something none of the other pop bitches would do. Easily one of the most solid pop tracks she's created, everything about it is perfect.
3. BAD ROMANCE
WHY: One word: Epic. That's how I would describe Bad Romance. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that this track probably changed pop music after it came out. It's music video had almost a Thriller-effect on the industry; it put everyone on their A game and made music videos much more of an event (and a bigger budget) then they used to be. It's a simple song, when you boil it down, but that is why it succeeds.
2. PAPARAZZI
WHY: Paparazzi is the song where Gaga learned her trademark of being different, dark, yet still a popstar. It's lyrics are perfect and haunting, and the melody is gold. It's by far the best track off of The Shame. Paparazzi is Gaga at her finest - unique enough to set her apart, but still pop enough to allow her world domination.
1. THE EDGE OF GLORY
WHY: I think The Edge of Glory is her best track for numerous reasons. It's probably one of the only (or the only) tracks Gaga has written with true emotion, not something superficial like fame. It makes a difference in how the we hear the music, because you can hear her heart in the song. It's beautiful really from start to finish; the beginning sounds like heart beats (life) and in the end you hear the didgeridoo which represents a flat line (death), genius really. Flawless track built with emotion, solid lyrics and production, and still maintains catchiness to boot.
