Hoshi Mamoru Inu & Zoku Hoshi Mamoru Inu
This is one of the most touching stories I've read in recent time. Like the case with Grave of the Fireflies, showing you that the fate of the characters right from the beginning will only makes the flashback which shows you how the man and his dog becoming such a inseparable pair much more bitter sweet. The second part of the first volume and the second volume (Zoku Hoshi Mamoru Inu) tell the stories of characters, who are somehow connected to the man from the first story and not only are those stories great on their own, they also tie up some loose ends. Highly recommended for anyone who are not put of by the tragic ending, even if you're not a dog person.

Nyx joins the list of characters named Nyx in media that are epic...The four+ month long wait for this chapter was worth it just for the sake of moving things along and really developing Alma and co. Tenkou's plot got to be a bit emotional there once he saw the Magane heart and then had to make a decision. Hopefully he can become just as strong as Alma.

A story about a blooming friendship between a wannabe mangaka who has accidentally killed someone and a Dexter-like guy who sees killing as a need. Despite the heavy content, this has a very weird sense of humor with the very last page being the culmination of that so don't judge until you got there.

Jung Woosang is best one in this swimming series of sorts. Good introduction to the characters, though I wonder if it will really try to tell a story or just be a glorified preview to the korean movie for this.

Wasnt sold on it on cover art alone but thought to still try it out. Pleasantly surprised as it seemed to have elements of goodness and potential to be a good story. The story though feels a bit bloodier and darker than other jump series, with the bloodsucking antagonists and people wilting of sorts. I guess its trying to give some type of horror or dark feeling?

A pair of travelers go around the world to collect wisdoms that are in the wrong hand.
So I guess one of the one shots I read ages ago is getting turned into a full series, which is why everything seemed so familiar to me.
Pretty much the same as I remember though. Nice dose of action, lots of info dumping going on here, lots of crazy faces which is pretty fun. I guess now its a series there's the whole villain lurking around so I'll keep reading.
Though the whole powers seems like a good idea, forcing a pair to work together to get them to work, so I'll keep reading for that at least.

To be fair, even I thought it was endgame because I wasn't quite sure how they could establish a bigger threat/long-term goal. The black to white rukh conversion covers that pretty nicely. We still need to deal with Sinbad's curse as well.
Would have been silly to end the series so soon after Mor made her comeback.

Wow, another really good chapter. Once the beam spamming stops, Magi is still a pretty great read. I guess this is the end of the current arc. I'm actually kinda glad that I could be wrong about Magi ending early next year. If the next part of the story is really going to be about Aladdin revealing more about where he came from, and travelling more to discover a way to restore the Black Rukh to the great flow, it'll probably be really interesting. Glad Titus is still "alive" in some form though. It's going to be interesting to see if he gets reborn as a replacement Magi, since the world is short of one now.

There is weird, and then there is Flowers.
This is the second time I have no fucking clue what it is that I've read. Trying to make sense of anything seems a waste of time.
I'll give an example. In one of the chapters, a step-father who touches inappropriately his step-daughter, tries to rape her, so she cuts his throat. Then she has a vision of his step-father holding his throat and telling her that it will be hard on her mother because she loves both of them, so she goes back to her room and with the knife hits the man more and more.
change of scenery, a dude in what looks like a public bathroom is getting his dick sucked by a bound girl while talking on the phone, then he tells her to bite. She does it and he tells her to do so harder, then we're shown some shot of blood and him punching the girl.
change of scene again, the dude is at the house of the girl, looking at the ceiling and tellnig the mother she waited too long to call him -we're shown the blood on the ceiling dripping down on a phone- and she tells him he never picked up. Dude and a bunch of guys clean up the house while the dude enters the girl's room and we're shown how she sees him: as a man with a lot of ghosts around him, with the stepfather's joining in and starting fucking the ghost of some girl.
change of scene again, the girl is somewhere with a bunch of guys, a camera being set up and one of them instructing her that in the king game she has to suck off everyone, and if she becomes king she has to say "everyone has to lick my pussy". She asks if everyone is the king and why everyone is a man.
Yeah, it's not porn, but every story has some fucked up scenario, linked to each other by way of having one character from one of the other stories, which makes every story happen in the same world. The same fucked up world.
It was interesting in a way but.... I still don't know what the fuck I've read.

If I didn't know this was a train wreck, I couldn't keep going. Were many of you reading it when it was publishing these chapters? It's just... boring, I think. The drama is so unrealistic and flimsy. Some new problem occurs, and while most series would develop those issues, this one abandons them. I seriously do not understand Eba's motivations. Wasn't their relationship going well? It's just not in her character to say that she won't get back with Haruto, and to act like she's completely uninterested in him now. It makes no sense. The writer does not know how relationships work. Barf.

Nah, it just got to the point where literally nothing was happening, at all, not even stupid things you would rage over. So after 50 of that, I decided that too much is too much.
