When at uni I tried it on a mates account, the small maps were nice but some of the maps are so huge I got lost or bored.

I'll try the game again though, why not while its free.

I appreciate the effort in what they were trying to do, but it's just so cumbersome and unexciting.

Pretty much. The controls feel kind of wonky and the animations aren't too hot.

I hate to agree, but I also couldn't really get into the game.

Is this version just what they had on the Unreal Engine but now on the Source engine?

The game was decent when I played it as an unreal mod but it took a long time to get even decent because you had to learn the maps and the mechanics of the game.

I feel ripped off that I bought it.
But I heard they added new things, so I'll give it another go.
