They can't act 100% independently of nintendo, which is a much more traditional factor in this equation even when the dena deal is taken into account. Not to mention Yokai watch still proves the pokemon target market is fairly alive and well on the dedicated handheld space.

So news on Pokemon? My guesses are the following then:
-Amiibo Line for Pokken Tournament + support for most of the Smash Pokemon Figures for the game
-Pokemon Z announced for 2016 on NX, New 3DS and 3DS
-Big Mobile Pokemon game announced
-Free-to-Play Pokemon Rumble 3DS game gets ported to iOS and Android
-Pokemon Stadium 3 announced; support with 3DS games, amiibo line announced for the game and it contains a story mode (mixture of standard Pokemon RPG and Stadium battles; scale in line with XD Gale of Darkness for example).

Hasn't Shuffle (and the TCGO on iOS) been the only mobile games of note? Maybe it's different in Japan, but it's a rarity here in the US. I wouldn't mind the TCGO finally coming to Android, though.
