I'm not good with thread titles. Here's your September summary:

PPVs for this month:

Hell_in_a_Cell_%282010%29.jpg
Bragging_Rights_%282010%29.jpg
Bound_for_Glory_%282010%29.jpg

And some others probably that only Bootay knows about.

NEWS RUNDOWN:
WWE: THE VIPER/Blandy Boreton/RKOinator is now WWE champ. Will he RKO the ratings? Patti Labelle's secret love child is the US champ, and there are two PPVs this month. Smackdown also debuts on SYFY today, so watch it tonight.... LIVE AND CENA WILL BE THERE OH MY GOD. Hell in a Cell will see people fighting inside a steel cage but ignoring it, and Bragging Rights will be like this:

ALSO LEGENDARY IS NOW ON DVD BUY IT NOW AT WALMART FOR ONLY $13.00.

TNA: Did you know TNA has no world champion? Don't worry though, because three ex WWE wrestlers will compete for the title at Bound for Glory (I forget the exact date). If Angle loses, he retires like Ric Flair did.

ROH: Actually I haven't been following Ring of Honor lately, but Roderick Strong is the champ! Good for him.

And because people will bitch at me if I don't post her picture:

Let's talk more about Alberto.

Dragon Gate USA presents; Bushido - Code of the Warrior - live on iPPV on October 29th - $14.99

http://www.gofightlive.tv/Events/Fight/Wrestling/Dragon_Gate_Bushido_Code_Of_The_Warrior/804

Already scheduled for the October 29th event are Open The Dream Gate Champion Masato Yoshino; Open The Freedom Gate Champion BxB Hulk; the legendary Akebono; Shingo; YAMATO; Jon Moxley; Mike Quackenbush and Jigsaw. Many more names will be added.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Incidentally, I uploaded this Tokyo Gurentai (a small Japanese promotion) show on to youtube, which features a few Dragon Gate wrestlers;

Tokyo Gurentai, 11.06.2010 (Samurai! TV)
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
300 Fans - No Vacancy

1. Munenori Sawa vs Hikaru Sato

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpXcLsAhLy0

2. Genki Horiguchi vs Ricky Fuji vs Chicken Boy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5OxkdbZ5vE

3. Stalker Ichikawa & Minoru Suzuki vs Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGQUmSIGk-8 - 1/2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1TRjliXpX4 - 2/2

4. Dragon Kid vs FUJITA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNA9VJIzZEo

5. BxB Hulk vs Darkside KIKU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk1tfewzd3s

6. Gamma & MAZADA vs CIMA & NOSAWA Rongai

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMQSY5neM_Y - 1/2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kBjtEsZxT0 - 2/2

What's worth watching; Match 1 isn't too bad, but ends poorly, Match 2 is mostly a throwaway, but Ricky Fuji rocking out post-match is awesome, Match 3 is Stalker Ichikawa's final match; watch in awe as he loses the match for his team in less than a minute, but convinces the other team to come back and let him have another go - this time, Suzuki does all the work until Ichikawa begs himself back in and then promptly loses the match for a second time. Suzuki has run out of patience, so the match is restarted for a 3rd time but this time as a singles match where Suzuki beats the hell out of Stalker. Good fun, Ichikawa's a pretty entertaining comedy wrestler. Match 4 and Match 5 are both ok, but not the best you're going to see out of Dragon Kid & BxB Hulk, while Match 6 is a pretty enjoyable main event tag match with some cool spots.

SD is LIVE tonight, who is ready for the borefest of Cena and Nexus on a Friday night?
STFU! John Cena is going to invigorate SD. Also, I cannot wait for tonight's surprise title match between Orton and Y2J with Y2J reclaiming his title. WWE is Jericho, bitches.

No Daniel Bryan on Smackdown tonight. :(
Good. I am tired of that nerd stinking up the shows. Besides, even if he made an appearance, the Miz would kick hass ass...again.

Pisses me off. Couldn't get media tickets to tonight's show. Guess they're still pissed at me over the last time I got them. Was supposed to do an interview with JR since it was in Oklahoma, but they canceled at the last minute saying how JR had been drafted to SmackDown, yada yada yada. When I told the woman I wasn't a mark, and I knew he'd be there, she got mad at me.

Yeah!! I hear he's vegan, too! What an idiot. Who doesn't eat meat? Besides vegans and vegetarians, and, more importantly, stupid people like him? I mean, shit, at least buy a TV, dweeb!

I really wish they would do downloadable shows in 720p instead of just streams like this though. :(

Nice job on the OP Forkball, tho as said already you for "THEY". Also would have been nice to put a picture of Jericho (or his DVD cover) in the recap part for last month. Jericho DVD = Soooooooo good ^________^. Watching some of it right now.

I already talked about the only DVD that matters this month.

:| Hope you're joking.

But that is the one and only Alberto Del Rio...the savior of SmackDown!

EDIT: Damn, that DVD looks hawt. Might have to put it on my Christmas list.

Well used to work Friday nights, haven't watched smackdown in like 3 months, tonight is the first one I am watching in forever.

Former WWE star Rico turns 49 today. I had NO idea he was that old.

Yeah, he got into the biz pretty late in life. Yet he became a damn good wrestler (tho not many got to see that considering how he was used in the WWE). IIRC he went back to his old job in Law Enforcement after leaving WWE.

What is this this countdown to smackdown on from 7-8?

I think they're replaying this week's NXT.

And, no, that's not a joke! :lol

Proof I'm not trolling:

PWInsider said:
WWE.com is still advertising that instead of a Countdown to SmackDown at 7pm ET on SyFy, a replay of NXT will be airing instead, with live updates inserted.

Just quoting myself from last thread:

GraveRobberX said:
RAW went from being enjoyable, to OK, to meh, to stale, now it's @ the redundancy level.

Raw should be presented like Terrorism levels:

Red: HOLY FUCKING SHIT, 2 hour show, 10 minutes worth of Wrestling, rest all Filler.
Orange: 25 minutes of wrestling, rest all filler, maybe bonus match if you watch.
Yellow: 50-50 on wrestling/filler.
Blue: Decent, 80-20 favorable to wrestling.
Green: Amazing, great wrestling, overall what RAW should always be.

Today's most watched weekly episodic show is Green

Why are there no good stables?, except the Nexus, there's not much there

I mean don't need everyone in stables, but there should be 2-3 stables that should be in power struggle mode

You get Edge, Jericho, Hart Dynasty...even Bret do the Canadian faction. They go on the basis that wrestling by design is made better with Canadians. Heel based stable.

You add a crew of rag-tag of up-comers who stick together and try to prove themselves with any means necessary. (Not the shitty Nexus route, more of a nWo route) add Daniel Bryan, Zack Ryder, Cody, even fucking Ted Sleepybiase call them the Naturals or some shit and let them be in the gray area of wrestling. In the middle

Can create a Cena super-friends crew with him, randy boreton, zoo-keepa', jo-mo, bourne, mark henry. Face booking stable.

The rest of RAW should have characters that are either trying to make a name by challenging the stables, or try their best to join or get one up-man ship on the show.

Give the titles their illustrious weight back, make the WWE title or championship feel illusive, that it takes awhile to win it, and the owner of said belt does everything right to keep it, and only losses do to flaws, or other means, clean wins thrown in here or there to build up new champion reign.

Have 7-10 tag teams stepping on each other backs to become champions. Throw in a gimmick that adds VIP luxury for said team. They enjoy both the best of RAW & Smackdown has to offer. Private jet/limos, cool accommodations, etc, (just play to the audience that if you win these belts, the world is at your fingertips, can build great stuff off how some teams enjoy the good lifestyle, and how some react weirdly to it). They can also wrestle single on each brand while holding the tag title.

Make the show different with-in championship belt spectrum. Raw has it's championship belt, intercontinental, cruiser-weight title.

Smackdown is heavyweight championship, US title, and hardcore (24/7 rule) title.

The Diva + Tag titles are shared, so that has a different dynamic to it.

Smackdown should be a no man's land scenario, where stables aren't welcome, everyone is fending for themselves, make it very cut-throat.

The draft should be to make real good decisions on how to change or adjust character progression, not just do it for shits n' giggles.

New up-coming wrestlers should have some persona, whatever happened to some style or different from the norm. Most look like Create a Wrestler factory outlet #4578976 generic character.

Wrestling is key, it helps to show wrestling is the main selling point. Story-telling is the 2nd, then the entertainment is the last part.

I think with-in 8 months of RAW I have watched, 80% I fast forwarded on my DVR, I record so I can bypass the 500 ads of video game of the month, some matches were highlights, others were just fuck this, I quit...delete.

lI wish we as a group of GAFfers can give good criticism to this dilapidated showing of wrestling, but all I see is the lulz going around or a certain member reaching his fistfull moment on borderline stalker levels

I enjoy reading all the RAW comments after I finish watching the show, I always go what did the GAFfers think about this show, let's go and see.

I have laughed @ the gifs, the puns, the jokes, it would also be nice to get a discussion going that how you see WWE change and become better too.

Sorry for the long rant, just want the show to get better.

Is that Batman:AA on the tv? Also why is he breathing hard getting out of the shower, he reall is Fatty Hardy. He does get points for having a big ass sword.

Looks like Abyss from TNA, which would make sense seeing as he filmed this last night.

Great match, pretty good display of submission skills from Dr. Wagner, and really hot crowd.

That's the first Hardy video I've watched and it's kind of scary. Why would anyone want to work with him right now in the ring? He's seems unstable in that video.

MAFFEW. All caps when you spell the man's name.

I hope Smackdown stars invade the Raw title match. I'm guessing the GM is gonna have to show up soon. I can't see Teddy Long talking shit with a computer.
