Interviews were done before E3.

Some numbers:
3DS hardware > 2.9M units (a "hit" this year according to GFK)
Vita software sales up by 11.6% in volume and 5% in value for the first 20 weeks of 2014.
3DS up by 16.6% and 14.9% for the same period.
Handhelds market is considered "healthy" by GFK: more than 3 millions Vita/3DS systems sold.
Wii Mini for 2013: 140K systems sold.
Super Mario 3D World ltd: 121K (sell out).
Pokemon X/Y: 650K
AC New Leaf: 450K
According to Microsoft, XB1 hardware has done 30% better than their forecast, based on the 360 performances.
No PS4 breakdown.
Wii U: 340K (before E3).

It has sold more than 3 million - more than 2.9 million, so more than possibly less than 100k. Probably also not more than 1 million - less than 100k, because otherwise they would have cited "4 million" instead of "3 million".

What does the "sell out" for 3D World mean? I doubt it's sold out in france...

Nah, the UK is first by a significant margin.
France and Germany are pretty much equal.
At least this was the situiation for 2013.

Why is that a shock? We know Vita is at 3 million in Japan, whats the latest ltd figure worldwide do we have on Vita? I was under the impression it was around around 5, Dont know USA, but I assume its around 1 million or maybe more. Doesnt leave a whole lot for the rest of the countries

I don't know if this warrants a new thread, but there was a small article in yesterday's Le Figaro économie about the French VG market. Here are the figures given, most likely from the same set of data by the SELL as the Nintendo ones (i.e. end of May, before E3):

- console sales up 56% YoY in value between January and May 2014, 207M€ revenue
- the first 6 months of Gen8 generated 317M€ revenue, up 14% compared to Gen7 (360+PS3+Wii)
- 1 million Gen8 consoles sold, including 340K Wii U, so XBO+PS4 = 660K in France at the end of May
- Wii U games sales up 144% YoY in volume between January and May
- global VG sales from January to May generated 331M€, down 3% YoY
- sales are looking up on more recent offerings, including 3DS (+12%) and Vita (+6%)

2 XBone titles in the Top 50. That's a 100% increase on last week. Looks like the price drop had a fantastic start in Germany. 40% market penetration is within reach.

Wii U at 360K today (+20K since these pre E3 figures). Wii U is now a solid second in France, with 20% of all system sales.

Well without actual hardware numbers it's hard to say. Percentage increaces really don't tell us that much without knowing the base level of WiiU sales. Also France has always been strongest country for Nintendo so it's not that surprising that Mario Kart would have biggest effect there.

PS4 + One LTD as of Week 25 (I suppose, since they report Week 25 charts as well) - 1.5 millions

PS4 2013 YTD - 530,000
One 2013 YTD - 364,000

PS4 + One 2014 YTD - 606,000

Given we've had no "PS4 reached 1 million" news yet, we also know that

PS4 < 1 million

The split is probably much more in favour for PS4 since XB1 has slowed down considerably in 2014 in relation to the PS4.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was 500k vs 175k

Also your WiiU number is around 220k. It goes against 340k going on in this thread.

If we say the split is similar to US, 1.5:1

then:

PS4 LTD: 893 600
XB1 LTD: 606 400

From thos estimates, PS4 is 14.5k a week and will reach 1 million in 8 weeks.

Hmm 360 LTD in UK was 8.4M in June 2013. It's been a year so maybe 9M - 9.5M. So PS3 UK LTD is likely 6.5M - 7M.

If it's 6.5M PS3 vs. 9.5M 360 [which is probably less likely] then 360 has a 46% advantage in the UK which is actually quite a bit less than the US where it's like a 60% advantage between the two.

If it's 7M PS3 vs. 9M 360 then it's a 28.5% advantage to the 360.

This is a tough one. I'd love to try and use US 2014 NPD numbers to estimate the breakdown of sales between the two consoles but there was a significant price drop on the XB1 so I think it may have done better in the UK than the US especially as it has a far closer pricepoint to the PS4 in UK than in the US [prior to the kinectless SKU]

In the US, PS4 YTD is 1.44 XB1's YTD at least from my numbers

Assuming the XB1 did noticeably better versus the PS4 in the UK I'll go with a YTD lead for the PS4 of 30% and 35%

if PS4 UK YTD is 1.3 XB1's UK YTD then

606k/2.3 = 263.5k = XB1's UK YTD
1.3(263.5k) = 342.5k = PS4's UK YTD

Then XB1 UK LTD = 627.5k and PS4's UK LTD = 872.5k

if PS4 UK YTD is 1.35 XB1's UK YTD then

606k/2.35 = 258k = XB1's UK YTD
1.35(258k) = 348 = PS4's UK YTD

Then XB1 UK LTD = 622k and PS4's UK LTD = 878k

Let's go with XB1 UK LTD = 627.5k and PS4's UK LTD = 872.5k for now [PS4 YTD is 1.3 higher]

Then PS4 weekly sales = 342.5k/25 = 13.7k

For when PS4 hits 1 Million sold in the UK

1000k - 872.5k = 127.5k to hit 1M -> 127.5k/13.7k = 9.3 weeks so within 10 weeks I would say. I'll go with 9 for now personally. Week 34 I guess?

Only 55% of Titanfall sales are from XBO version..

Watch Dogs is a monster.

GT6 still hanging in there and am kind of surprised how well TLoU did in France. Oh and LM2.
