WOW!

I like to think that's their little tribute to Rare (RIP).

cajunator, i want to fix the release date in your post sooo badly ;P

Ehh, Euros got screwed for decades. Its about time they got some things before the US.
Unless you are talking about getting an early US/review copy, in which case EXCCUUUUUSE ME PRINCESS.

Im desperately trying to play through Twilight Princess before this releases, and I am having an absolute blast. When I played the game originally, I was going through a bit of a rough patch, so the memory is hazy at best. It is quickly becoming my favourite 3D Zelda, and is whetting my appetite for Skyward Sword perfectly.

Also, from some of the limited media I have seen, Ive been picking up on things in TP that the spirits talk about, and I really hope they get expanded upon.

What's that Shield Bar on the UI btw? What purpose does stamina hold?
You can shield bash or block certain attacks with a nunchuk push and if done incorrectly, your bar drains. You can pay to fix it at the Skyloft shop because otherwise the shield will be broken entirely and you'll have to buy a new one. Upgrading shields increases their bar length.

Stamina determines stuff like hanging from ledges, dashing, spin attacks, and some other stuff. If you waggle too much to spam slashes I think it'll also start to drain.

So how does Link have the master sword in the beginning of the game? At least in the Demo...

So does this take place before or after wind waker?
So you came into the other thread saying that SS plot proves all Zelda stories are the same and you didn't even read it or else you wouldn't have summarized the story wrong and you don't even know these key details...........lol.

I'm fairly certain the final shield will have infinite shield meter.

That and I think that it may only drain if you fuck up a shield bash/special block, not the mere act of blocking itself. That is, that's what it seemed to imply in some video or Iwata Asks.

Is there no IR pointing whatsoever in this game? That might actually work out in my favor, since my sensor bar is broken and I don't really feel like getting a new one. I could just use a couple of candles to start the game up, and then not have to care. Or is the sensor bar (or whatever IR source you use) used to recalibrate the Wiimote on the fly?

I was saying zelda games essentially use a mad lib sheet and fill in the blanks with different characters or settings. Which is true, based on the other games so far. The story or end output is different but everything else is the same in terms of story and mechanics.

Anyways, I only skimmed it because I didn't want to remember how the game ends even though I know right now.

I'm laughing at the people who have been waiting for years and are saying, "How am I going to last another week?"... Seriously man, not that hard.

Why would you want any shield other than the Hylian Shield, thing is boss

I only want the Mirror Shield if it's that freaky one from Majora's Mask.

As far as I could tell from the demo, it is just initially used to get you to hold up your wiimote properly to determine your center position when using motion+

That whole center orientation thing.

For those worried about spoilers - here's a warning.

The game is being released in some parts of the EU within the next two days, as stated in this thread. You can bet your ass someone will copy it and upload the ISO online. And after that?

I'm being INCREDIBLY careful for the next week until I buy it, considering thousands of people around the world will be playing it from tomorrow.

You could argue that point for every game ever made with a sequel.

Alkaline is correct though, heck, even some staff from the Zelda dev team shares these sentiments. In several reviews they have confirmed that they in fact didn't want to make it this grand inspiring game, but rather make sure it stayed solid like OoT. Of course Aonuma and Miyamoto wont say stuff like that because they are the pr heads of the game. As someone who loved OoT it feels uninspired to me as well.
I was jokes.

Uninspired is the last word I'd use for this game.

That is how most franchises work. Since it is a just released game, I'll use Uncharted as a great example of this. New locations, new villains, same exact gameplay. Actually a little worse this time around to be honest.

Yes this is what I said. Every single series(Videogame, book, movies, tv show, etc.) could be condensed down the same way Gvaz did in the other thread.

Obviously, Zelda isn't the most complex or amazing story in the world. Also most Zelda games plots are pretty standard and typical but this one is somewhat different and has a different flow than the other mainline Zeldas(ignoring LA and MM for being completely different story flow).
