You know, I'm obviously pretty optimistic about SE and FFXV right now, but I still think it will most likely be the least polished mainline (non-sequel) FF so far. And it's not like I wouldn't understand, to be fair. I mean, they never made a FF of this huge scale and even with a fully action-based battle-system which alone is a huge task when you don't want it to look and play janky like most ARPGs (especially western ones, like DA, Witcher, etc.).
And yes, it might sound absurd at first glance, but I think when it releases in Summer/Fall 2016 it still only will have had ~3 full years of development if you start counting from E3 2013 which is not that much for an ambitious game like that honestly (everything before that from mid-2012 when it was rebooted was still pretty much just uprezzed PS3 assets on a Frankenstein'd Ebony-Luminous engine + target renders in the E3 trailer).
