Robert Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment is partnering with Oxenfree developer Night School Studios to expand the property into film, a web docuseries and more, both companies announced today.

Oxenfree is the debut title from Night School. The game follows a group of high schoolers on an overnight trip to Edwards Island, where things take a supernatural turn. Think Freaks and Geeks meets Poltergeist.

Skybound will host an all-day livestream of the game beginning at 11 a.m. PT on Jan. 15. A making of webseries, The Story of Oxenfree, will release daily beginning today through Jan. 14 on Skybound's YouTube channel.

Really looking forward to playing this and watching the documentary stuff afterwards. A film's kind of surprising, but could be pretty neat?

Really wish I could play Oxenfree when it comes out on Friday, it's been on my radar since the day it was announced, but lucky Xbox One & PC owners get first dibs. Hope it comes to PS4 sooner than later.
