August 12 - Trials HD (1200 MS Points/$15)
I've been tooling around with this one quite a bit lately. Horribly addictive, cringe-inducing physics and motorcycles doing loop-de-loops before falling into pits of fire.

What is with more and more early official threads?

You seem to be disappointed if somebody else starts official threads.

I was kinda of wondering the same thing.. :lol

In any event, this game looks hot! Always meant to pick it up on steam. Might have too now on XBLA.

Should've made a bigger banner.

Edit: Dammit, beaten.

From the gameplay videos that I've seen it's looking good. Not 1200 points good, but good.

It is what I could find on short notice. If somebody wants to make something a bit smaller, then I would not be adverse to it.

Never heard of the game. Never played it. Now interested based on screens. Thanks for the thread.

Welcome and you should track down Trails 2 Second Edition on Steam if you are interested.

Trials is AWESOME... When it was on PartnerNet, everyone at the office was going bananas over it.

Same here - We've been having some mini competitions within this game after hours, mostly dealing with the mini-games and some of the more insane levels.

I used to play the 2D versions of the flash game the time and this controls just as well as the original. I've been recommending this to everyone.

Have this on the PC. Got it in a buy 5 for $10 promo on Steam. Started the tutorial and liked it but once I hit the part of the tutorial where you have start doing platform jumps I stopped. The PC version uses the arrow keys and doesn't have or at least I don't see controller support so this version may be more forgiving.

Another irrelevant post.

What's that Junior?

Anyways, the game is quite fun, though the controls are quite floaty. I still think it's really overpriced, considering the PC version has been on sale quite a few times for $5, and you can play the flash version for free.

Trials 2 works fine with my Xbox 360 pad. I find it a lot easier to play with the arrow keys, but that may just be because it's what I'm used to.

Any idea if they're re-using any tracks from Trials 2 or if this is all new stuff?

Yup, great game. Might not be 1200 points great but I liked plotting my way through its infuriating levels on pc.

Trials 2: Second Edition is the best game I've purchased on Steam.

Trials HD will continue the trend with XBLA.

1200MS points feels like robbery for this game. It is amazing! We've got a huge cloth poster up in our office - totally hyped to get some real score hunting going!

Question about the level sharing: Can you DL random levels from a central location or do they have that inane content protection system where you can only DL from your friends list ala N+?

This game is going to be fucking AMAZING :D. I kind of wanted to make the official thread but searched and found this.

Damnit more people need to see this or at least a movie or two. The buzz from the industry who have played the game so far seems to be off the charts. Where's my 1Up game night with this game?

More hands on footage please!

Yup. It's too bad but it's the price you pay with copyrights and all that shit I guess. Or making levels shaped like giant penises and parents don't like that, MS doesn't want to get sued I take it.

I so can't wait for this game, a few years ago i always played Gravity Defied on my mobile and spent way to much time on that
up to the point where the stick of my k700i broke :/

At least you don't need a gold subscription to download levels.

i read on the offical forums that it costs too much to have open level sharing like LBP cuz MS has to pay for moderators and keep watch of all the content going through so the best they could do was dl levels from ppl you've added as friends and unlike lode runner u can dl them whether your friend is online or not

Wow. I wasn't interested in this and was kind of twiddling my thumbs waiting for Shadow Complex, but it looks awesome. I'll probably buy it.

Trials 2 SE is one of my most played games ever, and I'm proud to say that for a period of time I was in the top 50 in the worldwide total rankings (though I've since slipped down significantly; I haven't played it much lately).
Needless to say, I need Trials HD! The only tiny problem with that is that I don't have a 360. It's not that I don't want one, it's just that I don't feel that I have the money nor the time to buy and play all the good games for yet another console (I already have a PS3, a Wii and a DS). But I just can't miss this. Can't. So I guess I'll just have to get a 360 anyway, since if I've understood things correctly this will never ever be coming to PSN (exclusive to XBLA forever - which is a bit odd since MS generally seems to be happy with timed exclusives).

Consoles > PC on this one.

As much as I loved Trials 2, the punishing difficulty made me delete it for my sanity. But I love the core concept and always thought a level editor with levels not designed by Satan would have been amazing.

I don't know what that means, referring to n to n+, but yeah Trials HD is actually a completely new game. All rewritten, and most importantly it's now all analog controls.

Game comes out soon. Never played Trials 2, or anything related to it. I'm buying this one on how highly regarded the game is alone, and I can't wait. Looks like great fun.

That looks amazing. I wish the online level sharing wasn't so crippled. :/ WTF could you make that would even be remotely offensive anyway?

I'm a fool for not having played the PC demo until just now. It's absolutely right up my alley.

I love the progression from just learning to get through a stage, to improving upon times, and scores. It's just a blast to go bigger, bolder, and faster.

I have no doubt that I'll be cracking out on the XBLA version for a good, long while.
