Shouldn't be a big problem though. If the movie is directed well, even PG-13 scenes can look brutal (aka Nolan). Adding CG blood and dubbing "fuck" in dialogues can't be that bad... right guys?

No. It means they shot it with the intention of releasing it as a PG13 film and then got a huge amount of backlash from the audience that these movies are suppose to be targeting for selling out. In response we will get a whole bunch of awkwardly ADR'd swear words and CGI blood.

No. It means the movie was shot with no presence of coarse language, nudity or bloody violence, but that it was later added in post-production via CGI and audio-dubbing.

Where did you hear this? I got the impression that they used the PG-13 thing to string Norris along, with no real intention of ever doing anything but R.

Was disappointed with the theatrical release of the first one, however after rewatching the director's cut I didn't think it was that bad.

This one better delivers though.
