what a horribly put together list

I get that they were trying to include a number of very recent releases so it didn't come off as just another one of these lists, but....

this is a mess.

Looooooooooooooooooooooool

No London Calling

No Remain In Light

Hunkydory instead of Ziggy/Low/Station to Station

No Ok Computer

Strokes over Funeral or Kid A.

Are they taking the piss?

Holy Shit. Artic Monkeys - AM is ahead of Random Access Memories, Good Kid Maad City and Trouble Will Find Me.

lol NME

edit:

back the fuck up, it's ahead of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

I can't even.

Like, 5 years ago, did anyone really think that "Is This It" was just a bit below "Revolver" as greatest albums of all time?

I mean, it's in my Top 10 of the 00's, but of all time?

they gave "is this it" a 10/10 upon initial release and called the band the rebirth of rock n roll. if anything, this is them being consistent.

Well NME have always been kind of crazy.

Wow that is pretty weird. I think RS's list does a good job of covering everything. The order is safe, but it probably should be.

Hunky Dory is such a random Bowie album to have that high. I mean I like it and but weird.

Does the number ranking even mean anything when you make such a large list? 500 shades of grey.

Are these fuckwits kidding? They want me to click through 100 images?

lol Yeah, I'm waiting for them to be posted in the op.

Seriously tho, The National's Trouble Will Find Me doesn't even make top 10 from this year for most people. Yet its one of the top 500 albums of all time? Very strange.

Is there a equivalent of a "hipster" in the UK? If there is I always would have thought that they would write NME.

You're going to stand on the sidelines all smug since your avatar is #1.

I certainly wouldn't put The Queen is Dead as #1, that's for sure. It's fascinating to me how passionate people become over some list a stranger made. Granted their list gets more exposure, but when we're talking 500 items how categorizes the 300's from the 400's,etc?

Typical NME top 10 there, The Strokes, Oasis,The Smiths, Bowie etc.

I agree with the Bowie choice though, kind of, maybe Low or ZS should be there instead of Hunky Dory. I love The Smiths but I wouldn't but The Queen is Dead at number 1.
