According to Dengeki:
- Hardware sales this week 104,000 total for all console/handhelds, down 3.5% from last
- Software sales up 13.6% to 1.035 million
- 277,000 copies of Jikkyou Pawaful Pro Baseball 12 on PS2 sold (70%)
- 102,000 copies for Ape Escape 3
- 46,000 for Pachinslot with Onimusha 3
- 38,000 for Naruto RPG 2
- 22,000 for Dance Dance Revolution with MARIO

Umm, so between the high Famitsu scores and high sales...is that baseball game really good? Haven't played a good Japanese baseball game in a long time.

Really high numbers for everything besides AE3. Kinda surprising after the last few weeks of dwindling sales. I guess the Japanese are buying games still ^^;

Good week. Both PowerPro Baseball and Ape Escape sold higher than their predecessors first weeks. DS logic puzzles is gonna be over 190K total now too in just 3 weeks.

Raymond, you forgot the GBA.

UMD Video is sort of floundering in Japan... it's only in America where it's doing shockingly well so far.

Looks like Brain Training is finally losing steam, it should get to 400-450K though. However psp software did really bad, the top game was probably around 5K only. In fact there were very possibly less games sold than hardware this week. The psp itself is really holding up ok, and Tenchi no Mon is out next week so that will be interesting. In fact the next month the psp has a pretty well filled release list every week, including stuff like Tenchu and Taiko. Next week is gonna be owned by the DS however with Rockman EXE, Full Metal Alchemist and Yugioh all out.

Taiko Drum Master for PSP is a joke. It just lost it's main appeal and uniqueness.

This is why we shouldn't have DDR for handhelds.

I saw this at the store and its purpose escaped me. I saw a bunch of young shoogakusei pointing and laughing at it. The only word I caught was "useless"
