... So, did Breath of Fire 6 ever get released? Or was the backlash so bad that they decided to quietly put it down?

Other than that, it doesn't seem like there's anything else interesting in the line-up... Which is disappointing, considering that Itsuno surely has to be working on something by now, right? Or is he on the Deep Down team?

Capcom is going more and more into obscurity, It is like they don't exist anymore.

Show Resident Evil Remake HD, maybe tease Resident Evil Revelation 2 since the cat is out of the bag, try to reboot Dino Crisis and Onimusha, open up about Megaman, Devil May Cry, and Dragon's Dogma future.

Maybe they thought Deep Down wouldn't be able to compete with the many other titles that bear a resemblance and have already been released, so they scratched it. Dragon Age, Witcher, Dragon's Dogma (which I bet is getting a sequel), Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, etc.

It never "went" f2p. It was always a f2p game by Capcom Online, who make f2p games.

Same. Dragon's Dogma was one of the better IPs in a very long time. If Deep Down Becomes Dragon's Dogma 2 i'll be happy with that.
