Is Giana harder than Guacamelee?

Yes, Guaca was very hard for me when I (tried) to play it on the Vita. Don't laugh. I'm terrible at platforms and they are the reason I'm also bad at Sen's Fortress in Dark Souls.

haven't played guacamelee, but Giana is hard, yet pretty forgiving with check points.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Giana Sisters is HARD. Much much harder than Guacamelee. However, they recently added an "easy" mode that I haven't tried yet. But the fact that they're advertising "NEW Easy Mode!" should tell you that the game itself is actually universally accepted as hard.

The soundtrack is amazing though, and the game is gorgeous.

Hey, I'm one of the guys behind Roundabout - that spinning limo game that was linked last night.

Our Greenlight vote curve shot through the roof this morning, and it's mainly because of this thread. You guys are rad, and it's super great to read that you guys think it looks great!

If you're coming to PAX East, come and say hi and I'll give you the best hi-five that you have ever experienced.

Still can't believe I actually have Ikaruga on my Steam account. Feels surreal.

What's the best deal on Strider? isthereanydeal.com is acting up for me.

Thanks Shackles! And, to be fair, some games have Normal mode which can be hard and Easy mode can be normal mode. On the top of my head XCOM was like that for me but I know there are other examples. However easy mode sounds good if you are not looking for a skill based experience when playing.

OMG! I won South Park! I was not expecting to win that. A very very big thank you to CosmicQueso!!!!

Also, a bit late, but the Humble Indie Bundle 11 is great. Lots of nice games in that bundle.

Went in for the $1 tier. (I got the impression Monaco's pretty dead, and I was kind of iffy on Antechamber.) Figured I can always up it to BTA later, depending on what they add.

So I have a spare here. What little I've had a chance to play of Guacamelee was a lot of fun, so hopefully someone'll enjoy it.

What a great bundle, and for the amount of fun people will be having I don't even mind only one title am I missing so it's not worth it to me.

Is Giana harder than Guacamelee?

Yes, Guaca was very hard for me when I (tried) to play it on the Vita. Don't laugh. I'm terrible at platforms and they are the reason I'm also bad at Sen's Fortress in Dark Souls.

Yes and no to answer your question. Guacamelee has some of those difficult platforming sections that require a lot of quick use of the various powers to barely get onto platforms at time, as well as the quick shifting back and forth with spikes and it's design made it harder than it needed to be me thinks. However that's the worst of it.

The Giana sisters are all about platforming, Now it does get challenging and I say as a pure platformer it will require more skill to collect everything and do one's best, but due to the slower nature and slightly floaty (in a good way) feel to the jumps and special abilities of the sisters, it feels easier and less hard on the hands and fingers. At least at the start, then you start to realise that only is a false sense of security.
As the game continue it becomes more and more difficult and I can't recommend it to you if it's a worry unfortunately. Something like Adventures of Shuggy on the other hand, that might be more to your liking. Likewise PID.

Great bundle. Already had Monaco, so if anyone's interested, here it is.

Quite kind of you and the only title in the bundle I didn't have. Thank you for that.

You had me at the 21st BUY IT! Hell I even sprung for the DLC. I'm crazy like that.

Hooray, a new ninja friend. Enjoy. Let me suggest to you that the boomarang is a great friend and the bomb you can detonate yourself is quite worth it.

Only thing I've seen so far is 20% off at GMG with coupon OQE4LG-WEQPSE-SMCME1. Would love to know if there's a better deal as well.

edit: too slow as usual :/

Yes, I found Giana harder than Guaca. But that's mostly because of the bosses. The first boss and last are quite hard and most people quit at the 1st one if you go by the achievements.

I think the devs added an easy difficulty so there are 4 difficulty levels if I'm not wrong. I beat it on normal and hardcore. The latter doesn't have any checkpoints during the level and takes you back to the beginning if you lose. Also the levels are long.

Not even going to try uberhardcore.

I thought it was the Origin bundle.

Thanks, forgot about that one since it didn't include indie games.

Thank you for these impressions my friend. :)

Great info in there but the Easy mode they add sounds interesting to say the least.

Ninjad a copy of Guacamelee in the Humble Thread but Steam said I already have it. Weird.

Just one question about the game. Is it more like Tony Hawk with a spinning limo or is it more like GTA2 with a spinning limo?

Haven't been following Banished at all. Only heard of it just today actually. Decided to watch the video of it on Steam and it looked pretty interesting. Then I realized the sound was off like it normally is. Wow... love that music. Might have to consider this game now.

With Humble Bundle 11 they were able to get back some of my love that they lost with the introduction of Euro Currency in their Humble Store. Awesome bundle, worth it for Antichamber alone, my GOTY 2013 for sure
