Talking of which I had a girlfriend a year back who was a clean freak and she knew I loved playing games. This girl was such a keeper she saw me playing Skyrim a few times and I had the Hearthstone DLC where you could build your house. So my girlfriend asked me to teach her how to play and when I asked why she said your Skyrim House is a mess I'm gonna clean that too... And she did! Should never have let ger go.

I preordered a Microsoft Xbox One, the complete all-in-one games and entertainment system, with Titanfall and I am loving it! I have been reading news and I really like the direction that Microsoft is going! The innovative Kinect, the Halo TV show--the perfect thing for me and the bros to kickback and enjoy a game of the football on TV! Just set the BroApp to tell my wife to fuck off and we get to chill the whole afternoon, just me and the guys! Best of all, the Xbox One controls the TV! How cool is that? Buying an Xbox One because of Titanfall buy itself is pretty stupid if you have a 360 or good gaming rig. If it's for the other games I kind of understand, but you have to hope that Microsoft delivers on those future exclusives.

Trust me once you have spent a week with the XboxOne and go back to the 360 it feels really old and slow!

Xbox360 is a brilliant machine, and while games are Crossgen the scale wont be that different UNTILL you have spent some time with the newer hardware, there is alot of difference

i felt the same when XBox 360 launched i was like well there isnt much difference from my PS2! - a week later i never looked back

and the same with the Xbox One

I bought a PS3 for Uncharted, and then in time i bought God of war for it, and to this day thats where my Playstation 3 journey ended

I have my Vita ready for PSNow and i will no doubt pick up a PS4 when they release God of war 4

But i have decided this gen im going to wait till half way through the cycle untill i go multi console, i don't want such a long ass wait for new hardware

So if i wait a couple of years for a PS4 i will at least have something a little fresh while waiting again

I've considered it but having sold my XBone before Xmas I'm going to stick to my guns!(either wait for TF2 on PS4 or pick up a 360 copy.)

Both myself & a friend brought XBone at launch for TF & we both sold them due to not being upto much compared to PS4. Said friend went out & brought another XBone last week and I'm finding this whole new TF SKU £399/£369? Devilishly hilarious hahaha, I know I'm bad & I shouldn't laugh but shelling out twice & then the price drop is just too funny.

Haha, sorry but no. I dropped the 360 more than a year ago (and it felt old and slow even before then). PC all the way. These new consoles are pretty disappointing and honestly I've lost all faith in Microsoft's foray into gaming. Maybe once they're humbled a bit we will see greatness from them once again. At least when they're struggling we get things like Smilebit, Mistwalker, Bungie, Bizarre, Crimson Skies, Mech Assault, etc.

Lack of parity in social functions, an annoying camera/voice control system, live tv integration, and an OS littered with ad space is enough to show me where their loyalties lie. Coupling that with the price tag and their original always on DRM intent has driven me from the platform forever. Some may enjoy it but it's not for me anymore.

On topic: I'm not even interested in Titanfall but when I read about the price cut and the bundle (which comes with gold subscription as well, no?) I was mildly interested. But I'm so broke I'll have to wait a little bit more.

thats a different subject - PC gaming will never work for me, i spend more time tweaking graphics and adding texture packs than actually playing a game, or looking for something that can push my card to the max

console gaming is just so easy and the social side (xbox live, PSN) with friends is so easy and laid back i can handle the less pretty graphics from a highend PC

maybe its because i do IT as a profession and when i get home the last thing i want to be doing is PC stuff, im more of a casual gamer and i follow gaming news as a hobby

Fair enough, was just curious. Like I say, I wasn't trying to argue with anyone. I just don't think it's fair to say MS has all the exclusives as that is blatantly not true. Both systems have an equal share atm. Glad I have both.

Understandable. I had to learn to break those habits myself. It's easy to get caught up in the tweaking sphere and game time can definitely suffer for it, but it's also nice to have that option. A little self restraint goes a long way and the proliferation of controller support and new interfaces like Steam OS are changing the landscape into a more couch friendly one.

I hope MS gets it's head back in the gaming game. It would benefit console and PC gamers alike.

i enjoyed gears 1,2,3 and Judgement and the same creator is making it "Rod Ferguson", i imagine there will be some naff knock off tites in the gears universe, but Gears of war 4 with Rod at the helm wont let me down.
