In a game full of big improvements over its predecessor, Delsin's design might just be the biggest one imo. Cole looked fucking stupid.

Big week!

The Drop: New PlayStation Releases for March 18th, 2014
Singe the rainy streets of Seattle with neon footprints, or sneak through a military compound as a legendary hero; it’s a colossal week for gaming, as both inFAMOUS Second Son and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes arrive on PlayStation.

Sucker Punch’s critically-acclaimed, open-world series continues this coming Friday with inFAMOUS Second Son on PS4. Imbued with incredible powers, protagonist Delsin Rowe clashes against the Department of Unified Protection in glorious displays of smoke and neon. Fight the oppressive institution, expand Delsin’s super-human abilities, and explore a massive digital Seattle along the way.

For fans of stealth and political intrigue, the next chapter in Hideo Kojima’s sweeping espionage action series arrives on Tuesday. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, which serves as a prologue to the upcoming Phantom Pain, finds Big Boss infiltrating a military base in Cuba. With a redesigned interface, multiple missions, and a new open-world design, Ground Zeroes promises an unrivaled degree of freedom in the Metal Gear universe.

King of Gaslighting
I don't know what it is about where I live but Amazon has fucked up more deliveries than ever since I've moved here. Infamous is not something that I want to have to wait on, plus I already pre-ordered it through PSN so they have my money locked.

Amazon has been shitting the bed lately for me. I'm done with them for games, especially since they now charge tax in my area. I'll rely on when local GS get their shipments. Already purchased game at GS up the street. . .I'll be happy to give them my business.

Yeah spoiler tagged it just in case. Some people are going to cancel preorders if they knew the answer!

Overreacting much? Anyone who will cancel their preorder because of this reason never wanted to play the game to begin with.

PS4 is current gen though
Technically you are correct, but we're still in transition period and for many people out there x360/ps3 is current gen.
So, PS4 is NextGen... And Infamous SS is most definitely NextGen. Please understand. ;)

I'm thinking about cancelling too. It's ridiculous that in this day and age, you
can't walk
?!?!? No, I'm done. Throwing my PS4 in the dumpster as well. It'll be banging on the side of the trashcan.

for those who have the game already, can you please give an honest opinion about the game looks? sometimes screenshots can be deceiving and once the game starts moving all the beauty comes apart, im so hyped for this game i just want someone to tell me its ok to be hyped or lower your expectations a little
This topic has alot of impressions just look around :)

It is going to be a very long wait till Friday with all these fantastic pics and the livestreams out there all the time. I went into one and it took all of 2 minutes for someone to pop off about future powers, so that has already been ruined for me. Haven't actually seen the other powers yet so atleast that will still be fresh. I am going on a complete blackout I think to try and lessen the pain and sorrow of seeing this greatness from Infamous but not being able to see it on my own screen.

Atleast I recently gotten Persona 4 and Toukiden is coming tomorrow which should help pass the time this week.

Can't wait though, game looks UNBELIEVABLE. Sony first party teams really are WAY ahead of the curve so far this generation. Killzone, Res0gun ( not first party but they had ICE help ) and now Infamous look far and above better then most other titles so far this gen. Tomb Raider sits in well with the pack though.

Really can't wait to see what Naughty Dog and Santa Monica are able to do. If Ready at Dawn is able to pull off the insanity of The Order 1886, then its hard to even imagine.

Without saying what it is, did the
4th power
surprise you as much as the
third power did?

No not at all. The 4th power is so obvious and kind of lame when you get it in my opinion. But the 3rd power BLEW ME AWAY. not kidding. That's the highpoint of the game.

I'm not the guy you originally asked, but neither was much of a surprise to me once I got them. I suppose there was surprise in how inventive Sucker Punch was in implementing the moves. I'm most looking forward to the
fifth
power (number, not name), which will be accessible via DLC.

Interesting. I was spoiled on the
third
but still have no idea about the other.

How long is this game? I don't want to pick it up if its relatively short :-/ Rather save my money if it is.

The MAIN story is supposed to be around 12 hours. Then there are side quests to do. Also if you plan on playing both sides you should get quite a bit out of this game.

First post :) Yay!

Welcome to GAF! I finally got approved a couple days ago as well.

I'm still trying to decide if I am going to go hero or evil on my first run. Probably the former though as that's what I ended up doing with the previous games.

No idea why I neglected playing the previous games. I played them a short time then set them down, right now I am pushing through 2 and I am enjoying it a ton! The new pics that have leaked of Second Son seem like an amazing step up visually and I can not wait to play it through right away.

Gonna be a long week!

You know 13 to 15 hours to beat the game is more than enough. By finding all the secret stuff, collectibles and by admiring all the damn graphical details this game has, it would probably being a 30+ playthrough in total if not more.

There. Not cool.

This game looks ridiculous.

Ridiculous.

How am I supposed to wait till Friday? Well, I'll have Ground Zeroes.

Man, I wonder how games will look at the end of this generation.

Yeah I replayed Infamous 1/2 a ton of times just because it is a fun game to play. I think my first playthrough of Infamous 2 was 40+ hours due to the endless time spent just hopping on for an hour and wreaking havoc and not even worrying about anything story related.

I hope this game has the races and such that the others had. Always liked those for some reason, and with the traversal being so nice looking in this one, hope they really push that in Second Son.
