As expected, the line about there being more features in the update than those few things goes ignored.

It's only March so if this is out by the end of the month then there's plenty of time before E3 to get missing things added before moving onto enhancing the OS itself.

the 2 main things i care about aren't in there yet, sadly
true suspend mode and a real library view. the long horizontal list is fine the way it is, but i should be able to hit left once the way i get to "whats new" and have a library view with some sorting options(and not show dumb shit like demos etc by default, just full games)

Decent update. Seems to all be focused on game video, which I'm not hugely into, but that's okay. It may have additional enhancements not announced. Definitely happy about export to USB. Easiest solution to better quality screenshots and putting videos on YouTube.

Edit: oh, it says a lot more coming in the update. Awesome. Also excited to see archives are coming in a future update. I think they probably felt pressured to be more open about updates since MS is, but that's why I love competition! Sony pretty much never tells about upcoming updates weeks before release.

I've always been able to record PS4 gameplay on my Elgato using an HDMI splitter, now I won't need it any more =p

My splitter I used with my Aver Card doesn't work with it sadly so this saves me the trouble of buying a new splitter.

Pretty good update, I was just thinking about external videos the other day while playing infamous. I wonder will this still have the videos show up under what's new for your friends to see even if you don't upload it to Facebook (probably not tho). Hopefully they fix the last 15 minutes video capture thing, it acts up sometimes.

That's probably just it, I don't see them giving the PNG option either as that takes 2-4MB at 1080p.

It would be great if they opened it up to allow streaming to any site that can take a streaming video feed, so alternatives like Hitbox, YouTube, and other sites could be used as well.

But their deals with Twitch and Ustream probably specifically block that.

Copying to USB is nice, though. Would be even better if the screenshots could be saved losslessly, if they aren't already. (I know the exporting can get a bit crunchy.)

USB Exporting will allow you to do just that. The whole point is so you can get videos and images off your PS4.
