Rumoured April Playstation Plus (Europe) content

So...if we get Hotline on Vita it'll be downloadable on PS4 when that hits? And if we 'buy' Sly on the store we'll be able to download it on Vita too? How does cross buy work exactly on PS+ stuff as surely they'd just place Sly on the Vita list if it was that easy...?

Pretty terrible month if the cross-buy stuff doesn't come through. MotoGP on vita...really?

Major publishers would have to be stupid to give retail games away to PlayStation Plus while the overall library is so small, not to mention the fact that other than, I think, Hitman Absolution in Europe, no such game has been released to Plus on any format less than six months into its life.

I think Remember Me did as well. But it apparently didn't sell very well so that's understandable.

They should give Knack soon for PS4, it came for free with the PS4 in Japan, and I doubt the game will sell much more by now.

Yeah, pretty safe to say that Knack will probably be the first retail game on PS+, unless if Driveclub comes out soon.

Yes, if a cross-buy title is available on one system then you can download it on the others too. What's more is that the cross-buy versions don't seem to expire when your membership runs out like normal PS+ titles.

Already got Sly and Hotline Miami, wouldn't mind trying Moto GP on the Vita and Mercenary Kings for the PS4, at the moment I'm still 'purchasing' the PS3 content just not sure why as I don't power the thing up now unless it's for NowTV or 3D blurays.

But there aren't enough games to be giving away more than 1 a month. If you don't see any value in the service, stop subscribing.

I can't on just the basis of the PS Plus games. I play online.

Would I subscribe on the basis of the "free games" value. Not now, but I did six months ago, so something's changed.

I can't be the only one to detect a sudden depreciation in the value proposition.

Pro Evo? What?

With Cross-buy games they usually only list one platform and say whether it's cross-buy or not. We'll know when they actually announce it. Right now we don't even know that these are the final games.

So many complaints and overreactions. Isn't it only logical that they cannot please everybody each month? I like the variety this month compared to others.

Plus, do people really expect them to give away full price PS4 games within months of releasing the PS4? They'll come, I'm sure of it, but it'll take a while. I'm guessing around E3 time and from that moment they'll have enough of a backlog to release (older) full price games regularly. Same as PS3 where full price games also always take a while. Personally I'm surprised they even had games lined up for PS4 from day one, every month.

As a soccer fan, PES 2014 is actually good news for me. Didn't play Hotline Miami either, and Sly should be nice too, so I'm happy.

Now if you already played Sly and you don't like soccer I can definitely see why you don't think it's great.

We must get used to the idea we mostly won't get great games on PS4 until several months since the system is definitely too young for that.

If Sly is cross-buy, hope it's true. Much much better month than last month.

Really shocked people didn't expect the current level of PS4 content. I wouldn't expect anything "big" until the console ahs been out at least a year.

Depreciation in the value proposition? After getting Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite?

With the layoffs and Driveclub going back to the drawing board I wouldn't be surprised if it got canned.
Doubt it, from gameplay vids and the demos at various expos, they're pretty far along development-wise. Wouldn't make much sense to can it now, the whole "drawing board" issue was a bit overblown.

The list is not bad, just that the games that are interesting I already own and the rest are not really my thing.

I'm glad this is the case though, my subscription will run out in 18 days. I might renew again if there's something worth playing.

Sweet. I was day one for Mercenary Kings already, so that'll be a tenner at least saved this month :)

Was interested in trying MotoGP on Vita at some point as well, so that also works out nicely.

Fuck off on football though. I'd much rather have Payday 2 than that shit.

I think the PS4 titles are quite good (as in all of them including this month).

...the PS3 and Vita titles are straight up disappointing.

Moto GP and Pro Evolution Soccer ?

Come on !

But Sony only ever promised indie games early on besides DriveClub. And I'm pretty sure they said it would only be one a month (at least at the start). If you expected them to have games for PS4 like they do PS3, it sounds like you were expecting more than they were offering.

Been a while since I've gotten a game I'm quite happy with. Slightly disappointing but Plus is still well worth the yearly fee I pay. At least I get some free trophies this time

Hoping US gets Sly 4 too. The PS4 indie interests me a hell of a lot more than the rest we've been getting though. Already have Hotline Miami thanks to PS+. Not neccessarily against PES, and could care less about Moto GP or whatever.

I want to know what everyone is expecting for the PS4. It's not like there's a huuuge selection, and they're obviously not going to make ghosts(or similar) free.

Probably yeah, and it won't expire when your membership ends.

Was not aware of that. I thought all the cross buy games would be unplayable without a subscription.

Lol @ the bitching about ps4 titles. Give them a chance to get a half decent back catalogue before you condemn Sony.
Also this. Don't expect any retail titles until November the earliest, and even then it will likely be Knack or Killzone.

Well I've checked my purchase history for the cross-buy versions of the Jak & Daxter collection and Limbo and they don't have expiry dates like normal PS+ games, so I'd assume they should still be playable without a subscription.

I would rather they met the expectations they set. Of course DC shouldn't be rushed, but we should get comparable releases. I appreciate the realities of their position, it's unfortunate, but that's not enough to stop me being disappointed.

The expectations they set? Where did they say they would be giving away AAA games on PS+ every month?

No, they set one AAA game - an incomplete version - as a PS+ game, which isn't a trend, and they haven't even released it yet so you can't really say there's any pattern. The only expectations are the unreasonable ones that you've made based on assumptions. Any rational thinking would tell you it'd be near impossible to release an AAA game each month from the beginning.

Not a strong month, but I don't get the vitriol. It's not as good as it has been in some months, but you can't expect it to constantly hit so highs. It never has done. Around Christmas we had great games, but right now is a bit of a lull.

After Resogun the ps plus deals on PS4 have been pretty crappy, I don't play multiplayer often so not a good deal. I have a PS3 and vita though so makes up for it. Although it has been a bad few months on that end too, not feeling it with some of these games.

Guess I will try out PES beyond the poor demo.

Hotline: Miami is crossbuy right? So if they offer it for PS+, PS3 users can play it and in the future PS4 users. I doubt that they're going to offer Hotline when it's still possible to get some new players (that switched to Sony) to buy it for PS4.

I'm talking about Smart As. I play more of the Vita content than PS3 because of my shite download speeds.

There really isn't much alternatives on the Vita. The game catalog isn't as huge as the PS3's.
I wish they would start giving us more PSP games, like that GTA and the Monster Hunter that the US got.

A tip for you, micster: On your PS3, turn on the "Automatic Update" option (Plus only). And set the PS3 to wake up from standby during the night.
That way, while you are sleeping, the PS3 will turn itself on, download any patches or games in your download queue and Download AND install any game that's pending installation.

Pro Evo came out in September, if it's in the April collection, that's seven months. After eight months of the Vita, the first month of PS+ included Gravity Rush, Uncharted and Mutant Blobs Attack, I would hope if Sony does intend to match their other platforms in IGC quality, we'll see them earlier than November.

The change is that PS4 has come out. You want PS4 games, but it's not been out for that long for them to just start throwing full games on it.

I'd foolishly convinced myself that BoI would get a release this month.

Hotline Miami is great - but I've already bought, played and completed it.

No interest in Moto GP.

As a Vita only ps+ subscriber, I'm not getting the best value, but with a slew of excellent indie releases on the system recently, I think the sub has paid for itself in discounts anyway.

I just watched some youtube videos of Mercenary Kings. Looks fun, and it's not like I'm planning to pick anything up until Watch Dogs (I might buy LEGO Hobbit though), so I'll probably try it out.

I dont get all the misery;

- I can't wait to play Mercenary Kings. Been waiting for it since PS4 launch. Now I don't even have to buy it.

- Sly is a good first party platformer on PS3. I already have it, but its a nice bonus for those who don't.

- I enjoy racing games and the last Moto GP I played was '08 on Xbox 360.
It has been a while and I think I'll enjoy trying out a newer title.

- Hotline Miami I've also already played a bit. It wasn't my thing, but I can see why people like it and is another nice game to try for those who haven't yet.

- Pro Evo. I'm not into sports games, but people LOVE this series and heard the games are great. This is going to go down great in Europe.

I guess this doesn't seem like a good deal if you only have one or two of the platforms and can't play all of the games on offer, but Sony can't throw out all their new releases at us, or get deals with high profile games like Bioshock Infinite every month.
I think this month is fine. 5 good games of varying genres.

GAF hyperbole never ceases to amaze me.

Not overly excited about the PS3 line up, Sly 4 might be a bit of fun. No interest in Pro Evo, I don't play Fifa so why the hell would I bother with Pro Evo?

Can't say I'm surprised that PS4 is getting AAA titles, it's only been available for 5 months. After E3 if we don't start seeing some AAA games being offered then I'll be getting worried.

So far I've been able to play Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite, Spec Ops: The Line, Tom Raider and a bunch of smaller titles, and all this just since Xmas, I'm very very happy with the service.
