Woah woah woah, fuck no!! I watch Craig religiously every night and have for years now. Those bastards better not move him. I don't even get the thinking behind this? Isn't he HUGE for CBS?

Can't see him wanting to stick around anyways after seeing how easily they could get rid of him... Maybe all those CBS jokes finally got to them.

He is not huge for them. In fact, his ratings are quite poor.

If they have to replace him with a female comedian (and I'd rather he not be replaced at all), my votes for Amy Schumer. The standup parts of Inside Amy Schumer are pretty damn entertaining.

Chandler comes off as a snob who thinks she's the hottest shit, yet her shit stinks. She likes to brag a lot about her so called Hollywood shin digs, too.

as for Craig, I remember he used to have C/D listed actors. Now he's up A/B listed actors.

He's the only that I actually sit through the guest interviews for. He can turn anyone into something interesting. It's really remarkable.

He had Paris Hilton on once and it was awesome. He's the only person on earth who can work that magic.

Yea but there's all of 5 guys on the production team, there's no way in hell he doesn't make them money. All the nice things he has on the show are gifts.

I remember his old studio was plagued with problems because CBS couldn't be bothered to maintain it. You'd have the power going out, water leaking through the ceiling, etc. He's got to be the most inexpensive talk show host in the history of forever.

I remember he was interviewing some woman, and she said it was the first time she'd ever actually talked on a talk show, instead of running through rehearsed responses to pre-determined questions.

you know i could never tell if those were jokes or not

I think Craig is pretty great, but I understand why they would consider this move. His ratings are pretty low, and might as well rebrand the late night lineup all at once.

This would make me FURIOUS. Ferguson is by far the most unique of the late night shows and he's absolutely hilarious. I would hate if they replace him.

Craig and Conan are my 2 favorite hosts. Replacing Ferguson with Handler would be the biggest joke.

God I love Craig but it really is almost like he's just not the right fit there.

Those episodes with no audience during the writers strike I think, where it was just him interviewing Steven Fry, were incredible.

Geoff is the only person I would be fine with replacing Craig. I don't want Craig to go away.

Josh Robert Thompson, who does Geoff, is most well known for his appearances on Howard Stern and he's a really, really, really raunchy comic (I saw him live with Craig a month or so ago). He's quite a talented impressionist and he did a number of impressions in his live act that he doesn't do on Craig, but I don't think he'd be very comfortable being the lead in a network TV role.

Seriously. That'd probably be a solid 2 hours of late night TV. Never found Chelsea Hnadler funny at all

I haven't watched late night in over 5 years, a youtube here or there, but nothing regular.

Does any still watch 2 consecutive hours of variety show a night? I honestly don't know who has the time to sleep that late on a regular basis.

He never wanted the Late Show job.

I don't believe he ever wanted the timeslot. He likes the freedom 12:30 gives him.

Craig didn't want it. He has mentioned it in many interviews in the past. In all of these stories I've read about the Colbert move that has mentioned Craig, not a single one has even mentioned that Craig has said before many, many times that he didn't want it. Really shoddy journalism, but I guess sensationalism and drama sells.

He never wanted it.

Ah, I see. Sucks for him then; he's been entertaining the few times I've caught bits of his show.

Tina Fey's not doing it. Definitely not for the 12:30 spot, and I doubt she could even be convinced to do 11:30 without huge piles of money. She has the potential to make too much doing movies. Amy Poehler could, in theory, but probably not until Parks and Rec goes off the air and she strikes out as a movie actress (I like her enough, but that's what I see happening). Chelsea Handler would get fired within 5 years if they gave her the show.

Less than two. Handler's shows have never really been hits. Poehler could make some waves, but the show slot means that it will never pull in the numbers to make it worthwhile to her when she can have more mainstream success.

I was afraid it would only be a matter of time before these kinds of rumors came around. Since the Late Late Show - the only late night show I watch regularly, for what it's worth - is a Worldwide Pants (Dave Letterman) production, CBS is now put in a position of taking over full control of the Late Late Show and allowing Craig to continue on as he normally does OR shake things up for the sake of shaking things up.

Given how network execs seem to enjoy throwing shit at a wall to see what sticks, I won't be surprised if this rumor ends up becoming true. I'll be pissed as hell but I won't be surprised.

Are you fucking kidding me? Craig is probably my favorite late night host after Colbert. If you want to hire a woman host for the sake of hiring a woman, then you should have had the balls to hire a woman for the Late Show.

I love Craig.

When he is interviewing gorgeous women, the chemistry between him and the guest is incredible.

Example 2

Daaamn that Kate Mara is Trouble with a capital T!

I seriously hope this is true. Craig is one of the few late night host I can tolerate.

Is or isn't true, because you can or can't tolerate him?

Conspiracy theory time.

Craig's contract is coming up and they were gonna dump him anyway, so Letterman announces his retirement forcing the "out clause" of not giving Craig the Late Show, netting Craig 5 million.

I watch Craig every night and majority of the week catch Fallon as well depending on what time I get home from the gym.

Though I don't work until noon, so it all works out haha
