Paradox sent a War of the Vikings DLC key to who subscribed their newslatters.

This DLC is only usable if you own War of the Vikings. Valhalla owners will get these helmets automatically due to their Lifetime Viking Pass.

me too, I did some exceptions on some MMOs, there was no other way, but if I can avoid it, I don't add people on ignore list, not for talking at least, I might add for excessive swearing, though, but gaf is free of that, almost.

Obviously not since his look, his appearance has become so iconic. How can you put yourself into his shoes?

I think the reason he doesn't have a voice is that because people would find out that
he is the younger version of G-man

Looks like "Z" has been added to Steam. Apologies if this has been noted but it is a bit harder to search for "Z" and I'm not a regular contributor in this thread (spend too much checking Steam as it is)

For those that don't know - "Z" is an old school RTS from the Bitmap Brothers

Very difficult to make correct jump input especially when maximum possible leap length is required. Mirror's Edge had several annoying sections nothing atrocious for a platformer though. Platforming in first person shooters however is lame.

The paradox is that someone's posts have to be so unbelievably terrible before I put him on ignore that I'm always curious what unbelievably terrible thing he's written now. So I read it anyway.

Just like how Link or Dota-like characters show up. They're avatars. "Man I'm such an ace for making those scientists get eaten by Barnacles" "Everyone is pandering to me, I'm so fucking cool!" . Gordon (aka you) is like a messiah figure in the HL verse, Valve constantly makes sure to remind people of that, so a lot of people interpret that feedback as personal, thus Gordon is cool.

you know character battles aren't as serious venture as some people imagine, icons more often win those not characters, because it's funny, and more people have no bad feelings about characters without actual character, obviously.
Also, should I remind you that L of tetris once one character battle? (><)

Sure, I get that too, but that still makes him overrated IMO. I don't think he should be anywhere near as popular as he is, considering he is a non-character, regardless of what the reason is.

I do like the other characters, though. HL1/2 did more humanizing of its characters than
most other devs bothered to back then, which was cool. It's just Gordon that sucks.

Other tags that show up for me for CoD are 'kids', 'dog', 'fish' and 'walking simulator'. I have not a clue what the fish one is meant to me unless it's related to a barrel or something.

To be fair 99.99% of the time I ignore tags completely.

Edit: Ah, no I get it the realistic fish AI thingy.

No, he doesn't have a voice for immersion purposes. You can find an interview with Kelly Bailey where he talks about these stuff. It's the same reason Chell stayed silent for Portal 2 despite Valve initially planning for her to talk.

Lol, what are the odds that the lead writer of a cult classic RPG that was released unpolished and unfinished (Vampire) and is praised for its story and choices would go on to work on another unpolished underrated RPG praised for its story and choices (Alpha Protocol)?

Wasn't exactly sure what to do on the last level, just kinda ran around shooting, grabbing loot, activating things and then suddenly bossfight!
