Honestly, Nintendo is getting back exactly what they deserved to get. A mess. And that's unsurprising, since the management is a bunch of amateurs who have no idea of how a business is being carried out.
Yamauchi was a businessman that never played a game in his life and history proved he was much more a fit than Iwata as CEO. Bringing developers to the board of directors has probably been the biggest of mistakes alongside the effective shutdown of NOA.
People should simply do what the job they have learned to do. Iwata and Miyamoto should go back making games and not governing a multi-billion company.
The future? I doubt things will get better. I don't see any signs of that. The fact that Iwata took control of NOA is the proof he's the kind of micromanager that deludes itself that if he can supervise all parts of the company, everything will be fine. So stupid.
